Believe it or not, it's actually spelt "Psyke".

I'm going to ask you for a favour - can you recommend me a casual forum where the main spoken language is french? just so that I can be able to practice and such and see it in constant use.. =X

I guess that that way would work too.

I've always seen "psyke" as a way to verbally say (j/k), and "psyche" is a person's emotional state of being.

Normally when I'm in a regular conversation, I place more complicated words than were nessecary in my speech. Example: I could've said "yeah" but I said "I concede that point".

Plus, I speak in such a deadpan manner, people can't tell if I'm being sarcastic ever. This combined with that first one makes me very difficult to understand -_-

Yes, that carried on to the 90's too. Maybe Asia's just too old to be familiar with it. ;P

It's apparently not just American slang, since GDwarf and Sabbo know of it.

(And the spelling I've always seen is mz's way.)

Oh, I know what it's supposed to mean, and I've always seen it spelt Psyche!, but really, "Psyche" is pronounced "Sy-kee", not "Si-ke"

Roughly 50% of my verbal communication comes in the form of unintelligible grunts and groans of varying affect, depending on the situation. It gets the job done most of the time.

I also have a supposedly annoying habit of just stopping halfway through sentences before I can convey a complete thought while I'm speaking. If I'm too lazy to even bother finishing a sentence, I guess that's as good a sign as any that I've lost interest in whatever I was talking about.

On the rare occasion that I actually make a valid point or take a stand, I tend to bog it down with so many neutralizing modifiers that it loses most of its impact. This seems to annoy people too. (Ex: "How can you even think something like that isn't cool when it's obviously the greatest creation of ours or any age? Well, maybe kinda sorta, but not really, I guess...but I still like it?)

Of course, this is only applies to the rare occurences where I actually bother talking at all; normally I'm overwhelmingly content just blatantly ignoring people or driving them off with an awkward standoffish stare. My social skills are kinda underdeveloped, to say the least, but I somehow make due.

Because it's fun, but really only if other people choose to follow suit IMO. Then you can work together to derail a conversation into a hopeless mess of incoherent rambling spiked with needlessly archaic and stuffy words here and there. Bonus points if you can force an onlooker to lose their train of thought! Doing it on your own with no proper feedback just makes you look like an ass, though.

I'm actually pretty bad at speaking sometimes. I'll reverse what I mean to say. Like today, I forget what I said, but I took the first letters from two words and switched them up. I do crap like that all the time. It's sort of embarrassing, but I don't mind. I laugh at myself. You have to.

Mum does it all the time. She'll start relaying a tale, and I'd be all ears and then she'd just stop. After 2 minutes of me staring intently at her in silence,a nd she looking off into space, she'll continue on from a completely random topic altogether and not remember the story xD xD

*nodnods* Yes ma'am--although the last time I've seen it written out was probably when I was a little eight year old running around in pigtails, and children's spellings aren't exactly reliable, so...I could be wrong. Maybe. : P

There are multiple spellings listed on urbandictionary.com (syke, sike, psych, etc.), if you want to trust that source for spelling. ^^;;

Syke and sike I can see, but psych? Shouldn't that be pronounced "S-ick"?
