Teeth, teeth, glooooorious teeth.

Yes! A thread about our teeth there's a thread about current hair styles, so let's include our pearly whites too ^^. Here, you can discuss, well, your teeth! Any special dental treatment, fillings, root canals, braces (although I remember there's already been a thread on that before, but it wouldn't hurt to mention a bit here ), phobias of Dentists, anything! :3

As my contribution, lemme tell you about my first wisdom tooth. I just got it about a month ago or so (top row, left side). It came out fine, but now it's starting to feel quite uncomfortable :| it feels as if the tooth is sinking back into the gum, and now there's a tiny hole kinda thing in my gum that hurts when I move my jaw too much. Even when I eat, it hurts. But nothing could stop me from eating, never! So I just chew on the side of my mouth veeeeery carefully o_o.

I have teeth.

...

You want me to say more? Fine. I once had a tooth (taken out now) that grew out of the side of my gums. It was rather useless and surprisingly didn't hurt at all (except when it was taken out).

Re: Teeth, teeth, glooooorious teeth.

I just had fillings put in place last month.

They hurt. D:

Other than that, uh, my teeth are alright.
They're pretty, straight, and white- all of that good stuff. ;D

Too bad I don't like to smile.

All molars are filled; my wisdom teeth are cutting through my gums as we speaking and giving me torturous Hell. I can't afford to get them removed.

Re: Teeth, teeth, glooooorious teeth.

Well, I have "bunny teeth" complete with a little gap. I am nearly 30 and there is still not even a trace of any wisdom teeth. My teeth are also perpetually stained by my love for caffeine. So you can say that it is a good thing that I literally cannot smile.

Re: Teeth, teeth, glooooorious teeth.

I got slightly crooked teeth and have only one filling, which didn't hurt but was annoying to have as you could feel the drill pressure slightly when the denist was drilling the rot out of the tooth.

I did have a brace, but it kept breaking so the orthodentist took it out and let my teeth go back. It only broke cos i was bullied at school and was punched in the face more than once with it on.

Teeth...teeth teeth....

I have a gap between my front two teeth....no cavities/fillings.....and my wisdom teeth are still growing in. One of them has finally broken the gums and is constantly wanting to gnaw on something.

Re: Teeth, teeth, glooooorious teeth.

I haven't been to a dentist in 4 years. I hope nothing bad is happening in there. They don't hurt or anything. They aren't rotting, I see no black stuff anywhere. Hmmm who needs dentists???

Besides, I've never had a cavity in my life and my teeth are very straight.

Re: Teeth, teeth, glooooorious teeth.

I've been blessed with pretty good teeth. I never had to get serious braces like my sister or brother, or most of the kids I went to middle/high school with. I had four brackets on my four front upper teeth for maybe six months. I did have to wear some sort of dealie behind my front teeth to block my tongue from pushing my teeth forward every time I swallowed for some time though.

I got my wisdom teeth removed a couple years ago, and it was the least intrusive surgery I've had so far. Then again, I've only had surgery twice, so what does that really even say?

I've also never had cavaties! This is despite the fact that when I was young and rebellious I didn't like to brush that often, as well as consume copious amounts of candy. My sister, on the other hand, would spend ages brushing every night, and would still manage to get quite the number of cavaties with each visit to the dentist. I'm just blessed.

My teeth aren't and pearly-shiney-white as I'd like them to be, but I can't win every game. I've considered getting those white-strip things, but they cost a pretty penny that I don't feel like spending.

Re: Teeth, teeth, glooooorious teeth.

I have braces for another 4 - 6 months. And I've had them since March 2004. Yeah. Ouch. Last October (note: Octobver 2006.) I had to have a chain attached to a tooth wandering in my gums via surgery. I was very pissy for the next few days. I'm also getting my wisdom teeth removed a few months after my braces are removed. That should be fun.

Re: Teeth, teeth, glooooorious teeth.

My teeth are clean, cavity-less, and my gums are in fairly good condition. Other than a slightly crooked front tooth which is supposedly supposed to straighten itself out (although my dentist has been saying that for years), my mouth could be considered in excellent condition.

Re: Teeth, teeth, glooooorious teeth.

My teeth are one of the few physical features I have of which I'm proud. I have no cavities and they're in great condition. I smiled when a cleaner said that not many teenagers have teeth like mine. It's good to have some confidence.

Re: Teeth, teeth, glooooorious teeth.

It's so nice to see that there are so many boardies who're happy with their teeth. Really...I'm.So.Happy.For.You.All.
*twitch*

I reaally don't like me teeth what so ever, and it's something that runs in my family. Although it has provided me with a *hilarious* party trick, in that I can chew an apple through a tennis racket, it does have its limitations as well. None of the Vegas are allowed into America because customs just turn us away on grounds of poor dentistry. :[

Okay, so it's not that bad, but I do feel that Mother Nature is a crueeel mistress, which is why I take so much pleasure in messing up her plans. She's clever though, because she knows that there's a thin line between improving what she gives you, and just looking as though you've had work done.

It's quite strange in that it doesn't really bother me all that much though, because I do have a tendency to get quite hung up on things. If I could wave a magic wand and give myself a new smile, then of course I would, but you do get used to what you end up with. Of course if you do have a wonderful set of teeth and I'm chatting away to you then you should be very aware that I'm most likely thinking of how I would go about destroying you physically, emotionally, financially and spiritually - but I don't let it affect me too much. :]

I suppose I'm lucky to have ended up being so well-adjusted and stable. Some people would probably be bitter and hold some resentment against you smilers (as I refer to you in my blog), but not me. XDD

Oops, did I just float that drink all over you?

I got buck teeth. ^^
I'm working on improving my teeth, but there's no way I need braces. They look like they hurt. >.<
