FF vs. IE

I personally like IE7 better than FF in pretty much every way, and no matter how many circles you FF fanboys can run around in, trying to scratch away at your faces with the oven-mit covered hands, I won't change my opinion. I've used FF tons, and IE7 tons, and I hate FF for many reasons.

I'm not here to discuss it, I'm only making this thread to divert the conversation out of the Brawl thread.

Have at it, and keep it away from other threads!

Re: FF vs. IE

Firefox, it has so many plugins. Ad-block Plus, NoScript, Flashget, Fasterfox, etc. It's also much faster on my PC than IE7.

It's not that I dislike IE7, it's just a tad to slow for me.

Re: FF vs. IE

I use Firefox since my computer has either that, or Internet Explorer. I tried them both out, and Firefox just seemed better overall. In fact, I don't really see why IE would be better. It's kinda slow for me. Whenever I hit the exit button, it pauses for like ten seconds before exiting, instead of instantly like any other window. Why does it take so long for the program to exit? It also takes longer to start as well.

Re: FF vs. IE

Firefox has a great deal of plugins, which is something I really wish IE had more of. Despite this, I still prefer Internet Explorer. It has a better interface, and is plain out easier to work with.

What the real question is, is whether IE7 is better than its predecessor, and the answer is no. IE6 is faster and better than IE7 is every way except for security. Which Firefox trumps them both in =\

FIREFOX FTW

FireFox, I use it way more often, and its better. And I don't really feel like reinstalling IE7 to find out about new features when I've already got an awesome browser.

Re: FF vs. IE

Firefox, by far. IE gave me so much trouble. I hate it for giving me spam, spyware, viruses, and who knows what else. Firefox is more secure, and is just overall better. No matter how much you IE fanboys/fangirls want to push me for it, you'll never make me change my mind. I will forever detest IE.

Re: FF vs. IE

IE has never given me any problems, and it suits all my needs just fine, so I've never been so inclined as to get Firefox. I hear good things, but if I don't need it, I'm not going to get it.

I use Firefox mainly because I like the layout of everything better.

Plus, my mom's parental controls only work with IE. Yeah, I'm whipped.

Re: FF vs. IE

IE gave me a problem or two, so I switched to FF. Since then, I've had no problems.

Re: FF vs. IE

Why are we talking about IE7 and Firefox?

OPERA IS WHERE IT'S AT!

IE7 is just freaking slow, and Firefox has too much **** on it...

Opera is just slick, fast, virus free (Yes, FF is NOT virus free) and it has full customization... Not all that "skin" ****, just go into the customization panel and BOOM!

But if there was no opera, I'd choose firefox, yup...

Agreed. Opera is in my opinion the best out of the three.

But to answer the question, if I had to choose from IE7 or FF, I would go with FF. Better than IE7, worse than Opera.

Re: FF vs. IE

IE is trusted by to many people. I was watching a show about internet stuff and they has the creator of Firefox on there, and he said the reason he made it was so when something isn't found, it will try and find another path. He said he never expected it to become such an success. Firefox sort of crushes IE, purely because it has better stuff.

He has weird looking eye-brows though.

My computer hates IE and has it freeze up constantly, so I have to roll with FF today.

Opera users unite!

Opera is definately the best browser IMO.

Reasons why:
-Speed dial
-Customization options
-easy to use
-Great transfer process
-spell chekcer (is that in FF?)
-Used by nintendo (yay fanboyism!)
-zoom feature (dunno if FF has this)
-Little to no viruses
-Easy to delete old cookies
-Lotta widgets
-It has a cool name

Re: FF vs. IE

When I had my laptop, I would use nothing but FireFox.

I tried using it more on my home computer, and that worked for a little while. My friend told me that it uses more RAM, though, and since I already lack that, I stick with Internet Explorer.
