Sooo....Good places to meet new people?

What are some good places to meet new people? I'm just, fed up with my current friends right now, and I need some new ones....but I don't know where to make any.:glare

School, is not really an option since I go to a sort of mesed up school where it's almost impossible to talk to people. And I'm not old enough to go to any bars or anything yet. I was thinking of maybe getting a job or something? Except, something more fun then working.

I suggest you just make peace with your old friends, I have had many bitter fights with my friends, but at the end of the day, we all get along and have fun.

Try joining a club or society? After some initial awkwardness, you get entered into this cool cliche of friends. The most awesome people I know I only see for a few hours a week, or never at all.

So: Get out there and meet people!

Hmm, I would, but, it's not really like we're fighting, it's just more of a clash of interests, and also partly a distance thing. Basicly, I don't fit in with them so it doesn't really work.

And haha, forums are alright, but, I want to meet people in real life, and actually socialize.

That's actualy a good idea. Some sort of club sounds cool. I might try that.

Xbox LIVE is a good place to start if you're a geek like most people...
But in modern places, go somewhere you wouldn't usually go that's friendly.
Clubs, sure, but kost of them that I know are at school, so if they don't count, I don't know what else will...

THAT seems a bit dangerous, doesn't it? There's all this "Stranger Chat" thing, and I don't trust it. Parents, keep aware of your kids!

You are meeting people in real life, they just arn't in front of your face. You CAN socolize over the internets ya' know!

Pretty much any online comunity you can meet people. Like someone mentioned, Xbox live, or nintendo WIFI, or whatever ps3's internet service is. You can have friends over the internet, its not a wierd thing. Many poeple have internet buddies.

Clubs are a pretty good way; I joined a guitar playing club at my old school for a while and made some pretty good friends.

All of my best friends of the past six or so years I met at the anime club at my high school. Clubs really are the best way to meet new people, because it sets a similar interest right away.

Agreed. In clubs, you all have something in common.

Find yourself a hobby, I suggest re-enacting.

Or join a school sport or club.

Best way to meet new people? Turn off the computer, go outside, and be social. That's how I met all of my friends.

WOW, you have no social life. Well, I don't have much of one either...
I meet most of my friends OUTSIDE of the computer, so I'd say that's one way of putting a smart post.
