Ideas for Environmental Research Topic?

I have to do a research paper on an environemental issue, and I really have no idea on what to do it on.

Do you guys have any ideas? I would like something well documented, that way I don't have to scour the ends of the earth for information.

Well I've got two ideas; you could be boring and just do something like the melting icecaps or El Nino, OR... you could do something interesting and try to argue AGAINST global warming, whether or not you believe it to be real. Good times...
