Favorite setting for things to happen

Like the tittle suggests, what is your favorite setting. By this of course I mean, where do you like things like games, books, movies, shows and stuff to take place? Do you like Fantasy worlds, futuristic worlds, western, mid-evil, sci-fi worlds? How 'bout modern times, destroyed ruins like place, a desert world? What about mixes of these?

Personally I love places the are like desert/western, but have futuristic things in them. As an example, Trigun, I LOVE trigun. What about you?

I don't really care what the setting of the story is. As long as the story is entertaining, I'm happy.

I am partial to sci-fi stories though.

Re: Favorite setting for things to happen

I like fantasies and I like forest settings. Desert settings I like too as long as it is not the cowboy theme.

As for era? I like it to be modern, but with traditional value. An example would be Naruto. It has traditional values, but it is modern as there are tvs and stuff.

For books and such, I would say a damp environment surrounded (if not already in) a mountainous region.

As for era, I would say modern, with a medieval tinge to it.

A very epic and dark setting with epic fights between characters with amazing and original super-powers pushing to the limit of their physical, mental, and emotional ability.

Aye! I agree with that one!
it has to be dark and gloomy
with that type of setting and as you mentioned above
that would make my day completely.
