Mountain Dew Gamer Fuel, Halo 3

I just found out about this new Mountain flavor, and the whole purpose of this flavor is to advertise for Halo 3, the can has a picture of Master Chief along with the Halo 3 logo and stuff. And when I heard about this, I thought that it seems Microsoft is a bit, desperate for advertising, I mean a special video game soda? thats pretty interesting. They are really pushing the envolope for advertising for this game. Overall though the soda isn't half bad, kinda tastes like either pixie sticks or pop rocks in soda form, and will definetly give you a rush with the extreme levels of caffiene and sugar in it(14% more than normal Dew).and believe it or not just because it says, limited edition on the can, people are already selling it on Ebay for about 15$ a can,, I just bought a 12 pack for 4.75.

Re: Mountain Dew Gamer Fuel, Halo 3

OMG, Mountain Dew is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad for you. I swear, its the only soda that will literally make you fat! My brother used to be obsessed with drinking MD. But once he stopped drinking it, he went from weighing 250 pounds to only weighing 175. And he even exercised when he was drinking MD. It has soooo much sugar in it that can't be used up and it turns into fat.

But anyways, back onto the subject . . . . . . . . people are selling it on Ebay, thats a little extreme. And it doesnt suprise me that they would advertise H3 on it. Considering the fact that H3 will probably one of the most profitable selling games for the X-box 360. Well, i actually predict it will. So, MD just wants to raise there profite margin by selling cans that have the H3 simbol and the cheif on it. I guess u could call it, profit in demand . . . . . . . .

(MD is bad, please don't drink that entire 12 pack tonight . . . . . . let it last for like 12 days . . . . . . .)

Dunno, I've been playing Gears of War on the 360, and I'm not sure which I like better..that or the Halo series :0o

BUT, yes, it is a bit extreme to sell it on eBay for that much...or..at ALL. I wonder what the product distribution range is. Moreover, I wonder where (geographically speaking) the people are who are purchasing these online.

I disagree completely. There are soda marketing campaigns like this all the time, especially Pepsi co. Not that I can recall any right now.

I'd bet Americans/North Americans, as that's more than likely the "Hype-zone".

I want a few cases of that stuff. The IGN team said it tasted like crap, but I'll give it a go. I'll probably keep a case or two for collecting purposes, too. After all, I did preorder Legendary, so it's obvious that I would jump all over this.

If you werent a mod Id e-slap you.

Seriously, its GoW that shoudl get its own soda. Otherwise, I think its a somewhat clever yet lame advertising scheme, seeing as soda is popular and people always want to try out 'the new one'.

It's not the only one. If you want drink and not gain anything it's water. Drink 8 cups a day to reduce food intake.

It looks like they just put code red and regular together. "Citrus and cherry flavor"

Yes water is the best for, cause pretty much all soda is horrible for you, but MD is probably the worst there is. Its high caffiene intake and sugar intake is way way waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to much for ones body to handle, considering the fact that caffiene and sugar a relativly the same. But anyways, its just some stupid marketing scam that MD(which is part of the Pepsi Co. I think) has created.

Re: Mountain Dew Gamer Fuel, Halo 3

yeah, I won't be drinking this stuff in one day, cause I don't wanna overdose on sugar and caffiene and go into a diabetic coma. and I probably will be keeping atleast one can, cause then in about year when they aren't around no more, I'll sell it to some desperate Halo fan.

Re: Mountain Dew Gamer Fuel, Halo 3

Actually, sugar and caffeine are not at all alike. Caffeine is a Nitrogen compound.. Check out the molecular arrangement of sugar (fructose, generally...) and caffeine. They all share the basics (carbon, oxygen, hydrogen) but only caffeine has the all-important Nitrogen.

lol, BBD, look at how similiar they are, the only thing missing from suger is friggin nitrogen and the molecular structure of both Sugan and Caffiene.

I will kill you all for insulting Mountain Dew!

A sixth flavor, eh?

I'd wonder when they'd get around to it.

I am so looking forward to the new flavor.

*drools thinking about it*

Re: Mountain Dew Gamer Fuel, Halo 3

Can't wait to drink this soda while playing Halo 3. Boy, is it gonna be great. As a matter of fact, if it wasn't for the extra few million Microsoft payed for this advertising of Mountain Dew cans, I wouldn't even know Halo 3 existed. This was by no means a waste of their money. At all. Ever.

Regardless of whether or not I think it was a waste of Microsoft's time and money, I am looking forward to giving it a taste, and then keeping the can for my grandchildren.
