Bumps

Ok well it said I could talk about science in here and this is kinda science but if not please move it or lock it and tell me which one it goes in, if any. I shaved my face about a month ago. I know that sounds wierd, but I shaved everything. I noticed some bumps.....well actually alot, and I thought I may have herpes on my face or something. Well I looked it up, and its this big fungis name which is basically in-grown hairs. Well, alot of them have gone away, but there are still some there. Most of it went away in the first week, but its been a month now and I'm getting a lil worried. HELP!

Herguy, if it's woorying you, you should go and see a Doctor. They have far more knowledge than any of us ZUers.

Chicken skin. A bunch of people have it - don't worry about it. I have it, too.

Be proud, actually. It prevents you from getting acne. Those bumps are the reason why, while my face may look like it's very red, I don't have pimples all over it.

Although, this only applies if you're somewhere in your teen years. It goes away after that. Mine is actually starting to go away, which is why I'm starting to get pimples. :<

Oh, don't take my diagnose as a final answer. Be sure to see a dermatologist - they can give you a straighter answer. Bear in mind though that there are a lot of "bumpy" things that are skin-related, so you may see one dermatologist and they will give you a diagnose, and another will tell you something different.

If what you have is related to what I have, they'll probably prescribe you something like Lac-Lotion, which is just a skin lotion to get rid of the bumps. I never used it - I thought it was greasy and disgusting, but some people use it and love it because it works.

O ok thx. PHEW that makes me feel a lil better. It would feel kinda wierd to talk to my doctor about it, but I hardly know the man so I geuss its easier than my parents. Thx for all the help. O btw I thought about putting this in Family-Friendly Chit Chat but I didn't know if this was "family-friendly" or not cuz apparently from what I've heard your face isn't the only place you can get them......Ow
