favorite extinct animals.

if you are wondering about this as the same forum as the " favorite animal"
forum, but this is just extinct animals. if you are putting an extinct animal,
you must tell its name and its scientific name, its size and weight, place it lives, food it eats, time the species florishes, and what it's name means. you can post pictures of your favorite extinct animal. oh and put it's family as well.

heres an example:

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...s_dinosaur.png

name: Alamosaurus sanjuanensis

meaning:Alamo lizard

family: sauropod

size:up to 53 feet (16 metres) in length.

weight:33 tons

place it lives: New Mexico

time: 74 to 65 million years ago

food: plants.

Re: favorite extinct animals.

Arthropods! They were basically scorpions and such... Spiders... Crabs... But I'm talking about THE BEGINNERS of the Arthropod species... as in,

Giant Water Scorpions! Size: About 6 feet, width, about 3-4 feet! (That's the biggest size they have found...) Big mothers...

(The Image above is the presumed actual size of the scorpions, and is not real...)

Or spiders the SIZE OF YOUR HEAD. Those freaking things were awesome...(Mesothelae)

And after that I goto insects and fish... like,

Those dragon flys that were the size of HAWKS... I loved those... (Meganeurid)

And MILLEPEDES... BIGGER THAN YOU CAN IMAGINE...(Anthropleura)

Think sharks were big? Check this out (Hyneria)

Those are pretty much the best things I have seen...

It never existed.

I have no favorite extinct animal. If they can't evolve like the rest of the animal kingdom, they deserve the extinction .

I like the Tasmanian Wolf, the English Wolf, the Quagga, and the Irish Deer. They all look nice. I also like the Turanian Tiger/Caspian Tiger. I don't know which one I like best.

Propleopus Oscillans the carnivorours kangaroo and Bullockornis Planei a.k.a the demon duck of doom. Their is also a type of prehistoric australian turtle or tortiose that I am quite fond of because it has a similarity to bowser of the Mario games, at this point I can neither remeber of find its name.

I'm not really up to scratch on my extinct animals, so it was out of the Sabre Tooth Tiger, Dodo bird, Mammoth, or T-Rex. :embrsd:
