Ponytails?

Firstly, I'd like to hear some personal opinions about men having their
hair in a ponytail. Do you personally believe it is gay or rather cool?
Or is your opinion about it neutral?

I'd say cool. Men who have long hair generally wear a ponytail to keep it out of the way. So no, not gay at all.

There are fewer things more refined and elegant-looking than a man with a good-looking ponytail, so I'd say cool, especially since it's long and a good way to keep it back.

It stops it from getting it the way. In a sense, it's more practical and therefore manly than having it loose.

If the ponytail is too long, as in down the back long, I would say that it looks slighty gay.
Other than that, it's not cool, it's RADICAL!

Like Ganon's daughter said, it depends on the person who has the ponytail, but still i don't think there's anything gay about men having a ponytail. Unless there's two ponytails and they're on the sides, that i think is a little gay

Would someone change the title to be less offensive? I mean really. Can we think of a better term to describe something stupid than the word gay? Thanks.

I don't care. If I had a pony tail I would like it and I'd be able to see. Of course if I was going to a show I would for sure put it down so the furiosity of my awesomeness showed.

Single ponytails aren't all that bad, if the guy can work it that it looks fine, but if the guy looks like an idiot in general with long hair then ponytails probably won't make it better. Obviously things like pig tails and other more feminine styles would probably just make the guy look like an idiot even if he looks good with long hair.

Holy crap, I have found my hair twin. Seeing as my hair is in a ponytail as I type this, I'd have to say, yeah, it's cool. Hell, the ladies love it. And I really enjoy being able to see and eat without getting mouthfuls of hair.

I think guys with small ponytails look fine, but if it's long like a girl's ponytail, then it just totally turns me off.

A lot of the long-haired guys I know see putting their hair into ponytails as an alternative for washing it; it's pretty nasty. In those cases, I'm not that much of a fan of it... but there are a few males I've met in my time who can pull it off without making it look skeevy, so in those sorts of cases, I'm all for it.

And no, I don't think it looks like a homosexual thing at all. >>

I'm neutral. If guys want to wear long hair, fine. If they want to pull and tie it back, that's fine too. The skinnier ones will look like girls from the back, but that's more me than them.

In general, I find that most pony tails end up making guys look very sleazy. There are exceptions, of course, so if you do have a pony tail, don't get your knickers in a knot.

But there are some general rules to avoid a sleazy pony tail:
-Don't use gel. In fact, try not to make it shiny at all. You'll look like a bouncer for a cheap strip club.
-Don't get really broad highlights. Save that for the power rangers.
-Don't get a pony tail period if your face is convex (as in, it sticks out a lot more around your nose/mouth. Look at John Travolta to see what I mean). It'll just make your profile look much more circular. If you have this type of head, avoid buzz cuts too.
-When in doubt, don't get a pony tail.

Well that's probably the most I've said about hair in the past decade, and really, I'm probably the least-qualified person to give hair advice, but I am good at detecting sleaze!

Hair is hair. Hair is different from sexuality.

If a guy has long hair, then he can do what he wants with it. If it bothers him, he can pull it back. if he likes it in his face, he can keep it their.

Personally, I don't care either way.

I think ponytails are alright for longer hair, to keep it out of the way, but it kind of bothers me when guys with hair just barely long enough to be put into a ponytail do so. It just looks awkward >_>.

But uh, guys can do what they want with their hair :]. As Dark Tragedy said, hair has nothing to do with sexuality. It's just a matter of preference.

I don't think about it much, really. My brother has long hair, and ties it in a pony tail, but it's never caught my attention as something "wierd" or anything - I guess I'm used to it .

I definitely don't see it as a homosexual thing - if he wants to tie it up, let him be, I sayz.
