im wondering why..

why is it you stay here at ZU? to talk, for games, what is it that keeps you coming back?

Most likely because after you're here for awhile, you come to consider the other people here friends. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense when you think about it from a logical standpoint. After all, all that these other people really have to communicate with you are text and a picture or two to represent them (and some don't even have that).

I think that what despite some say, I believe that people's true personalities come out in such a format. When we speak over the internet like this, there is nothing else to worry about - if you're an ugly and obese 25 year-old, that doesn't matter. When communicating in this way, the only things that come through are a person's opinions. There is no way of judging people aside from what they type, which makes it attractive.

That's why people come here - there is no pressure. You don't have to be good-looking, popular, or even a certain age to be accepted into this community. When you're free from all of the stresses of the outside world, you can truly express yourself, and expect to be accepted no matter your religion, looks, skin colour, or anything else that may hinder you in "real" life.

I consider every single one of you friends. Even though we have never met in the flesh before, I can say with relative certainty that some of you I would trust over some (not all) of my "real" friends.

Yeah was Sear said, I consider some of the peoples here my friends. But everyone I think is my friend probably hates me. There's also that most of us here like Zelda, and this is a Zelda oriented forum.

well said. i see what you are sayin and completely agree. its much easier for me to be myself because of the kind of friendly environment these forums provide. what drew you to continue coming here after the first time you came. same reason why you still do or because you had nothin else to do and then graudually came to feel as one of the group?

yeah ive come to think a lot of people here as friends, were all a family, we can have our diferences, but we dont hate eachother cause almost all of us have a thing in common, zelda, were like a private civilization, our own rules, and character, but mixed up, you get a raly nice and friendly community, of a lot of different people, many different styles make one style, the zelda unvierse style, (and i need to shuttup now )

also well put foamy. i guess there was a stronger bond between the members here at ZU then i had thought. which is nice to know. i just hope i can fit into it all much better then i do in real life.

Friends... maybe. Most of my friends at school are either 'followers' or 'leaders'
But here is different. You make a few friends here (but can lose them), and just get along. In the end, most people will get used to you.

i came to make friends. i dont know how im doin... i dont feel particularly close to anyone here. but i plan to. thats what keeps me comin. to make friends. also to post my *** off so i can get through the ranks, learning along the way, so that i may adopt someday.

ff subject: im not adopted. can i still be adopted even tho i have technically been here over a month?

I find a place like this to see many different views on different things... keeps it fun, healthy, and practises your open-mindedness.

And all the people are cool. Yeah thats it. And Zelda. That too.

Reasons to stay at ZU?

Firstly, people like andi, SearanoX, and Malony. These people are kind, supportive, fun to be with, and helpful. Friends like these are impossible to find in real life when you're as unpopular as me.

Secondly, you see extremely interesting and entertaining threads that can make you laugh, cry or even blush.

Thirdly, the RPG gaming in the battle arena is absolutely addictive!

Fourthly, ZELDA!!!! I can find a gigantic amount of Zelda Fanart, Fanfics, and general knowledge.

Well for a starters the members here are very good freinds of mine now. You can be yourself because you are here for one particular reason...and thats Zelda. What keeps me coming is the welcoming people here that makes me proud to be a ZUer.

I come here for the ever-present need to please everyone, or at least the people I am incharge of. Also I would like to help the artists of Zelda Universe (which was a goal not set too long ago <_<).

Come to think of it, that has sustained me here for about 2 years >>;

Lately the chat room has attracted me more than the forums, mainly because of the reason that I feel I get a better picture of the persons here, without having to spend so much time - Because you need to spend much time on the forums, before you get a true impression of someone and how they are, and right now my life is kinda stuffed with school and work, so the chat has been more my - cup - of - tea lately, but I go to the forums for the same reasons as Sear and the rest, because you get to know people, many wonderful, great and outgoing people!

I stay, and don't plan to lave this forrum becsue of many reasons. This forum is like a big family, I have found greats friends around these boards, You know who you are And it is a great palce to find new friends.

Then this forum got some really nice boards where you can talk about things that intres you, and keep you entertain. For some months ago I was really busy with a lot of fighs in the Battle arena for example, but today when I am not in the mood for figthing or RPG, I find the clan activity very nice.

Another man reasasin I like just THIS forum, is becsue it is a zelda forum. I love those games, and on this place I can find a lot of informations, thoguhs and just anything about those games.

I agree a little with AnakiN- that it takes time to get to knwo persons only troguh the boards. I ofteng et to know the persons better after a good chat.

wow. this is a great place to make friends isnt it. what would you do if there was no ZU? id be playing games ALOT more. i like it here at ZU. if it wassnt for ZU i wouldnt talk to anyone. pretty cool.

Well I DONT stay here at ZU o_o. Im the most on and off person you'll ever meet here. I guess the reason I come back is cuz im bored or whatever. Leave for the same reason to >_>, ironic eh?

I stay in this place because later you will make friend then you don't want to leave and then you stay talking, new subjects come up that you are good in and then you post you get more posts get a better rep and then on and on and on. I personaly like it here because of the manner.
