Friends Thread

This is the thread where people can make new friends and learn more about everyone.As for me I want to make as many friends as possible

This is a great idea for the ones who may have a hard time opening up to forum newbies. Of course, this may get ignored because it is too positive for some... Anyway I'm open to be an online friend to pretty much anyone but it doesn't mean everyone. PM me or ask me in this thread. I do not care which one.

Whatever happened to just making friends by being yourself? Asking for friends gets you nowhere.

Oh, I have an intrest, it's just that I see there is no point in asking for friends, becasue you would get unsatasfactoy results that way. It is just a ruse at getting popular too quickly and he that has many friends, has no friends.

When people sign up for those dating websites, what they're doing is basically asking for friends, right? And to the best of my knowledge, there is some success in taking that approach.

The New Member's Board is really for introductions -- and the Community Thread is only interesting if you know the people who are posting. Maybe having a separate thread here for members who haven't got ZU friends makes sense?

I've heard from a younger member on the board that sometimes she can PM folks and never get a response. Whereas, if you found somebody in this thread who was also looking for a ZU friend, they'd be likely to return your PMs, no?

Jehanne, that younger member you've talked too might have only suffered from courtesy or lack of. In the new members board, people mostly say to PM them just to be nice. They're not actually saying to do so, they are but they aren't. Do you understand?

Alexo, this may or may not be simply a ruse. You can't speak for them. Asking for friends can get you somewhere, because that's basically what a lot of people do in real life.

As stated in the "Decline of ZU" thread, the forums may have 'declined' somewhat due to people not being friendlt with each other. A thread like this may promote that.

If they do, they usually find out that the people they thought were cool later turned out to be totally different from them. I'm sorry, but I'd like to see that people make friends with other people of similar intrests through their personality, not becasue they asked to.

That's a whole different topic and in fact, I largly disagree with it.

I'm sorry, but I'd like to see that people make friends with other people of similar intrests through their personality, not becasue they asked to.

This is, of course, the ideal way to make friends. But it doesn't always work this way. In fact, I don't know that it even works that way half the time. I'm probably not the best one to talk about making friends. I have very strong tendencies to be introverted.

So, we can let the people who try to make friends this way decide.

I feel the same way.my motto is I'm friends with everybody they're the ones who make enemies with me.And for the record I'm not asking or begging for friends I just thoughy it might help new people or peoplwho want more friends.

That's pretty good, but age and location really aren't necessary.
Someone who's 15 can be friends with a 25 year-old, that's just handing out information and showing trust.
Location is same as above.

Yeah, I agree, just sometimes people care, and it's important to them, say that you're on late one night and you meet someone in austrailia, which means if you're not always on at that time, you'll probably rarely tak to them, but i totally agree, just sometimes people like to know.
