Horrible stuff in my town!!
Arcola, Illinois Bank Standoff: 2 Hostages Still Inside The Bank - News: The Post Chronicle
SO this is scary!!  This is where I bank. I know the guys that are being held hostage. I am praying for them so much. I was actually there 15 minutes before he came in. From what I know him and another guy were stopped for a routine check and the guy shot the police and ran away. The car that they had was stolen but I think he had to have something bigger than just a stolen car. There are railroad tracks by the bank and they went airborne and wrecked the car. The police caught the one guy but the other ran in there and took over the bank. He has one remaining hostage. But he doesn't want to kill anyone else.Please pray for my friend.  Turn on your tv to FOX news or something and you can see it for yourself!!!

Ok this is what I just heard.
The two guys had done a home invasion and robbed a house and gagged the people inside. They stole the people's car and then were stopped for a routine traffic check. They shot the cop and hightailed it to Arcola. And then tried to hide out in the bank. The one guy got caught and the other was holed up in the bank all day. He finally surrendered to the FBI a while ago. None of the hostages were hurt.....thank God. So I guess I can relax now that it's over. Brad, my friend, just had a newborn child and is engaged to be married soon. I'm so glad he is safe.

Just keep trusting in God. It will all be okay. I sound like a mother but optomism is a key thing in my life, and not spelling. But its good that none of the hostages were hurt. How badly was the cop injured?
