Adidas, Vans, and other Footwear!
Quote:
Though they are comfortable, I just find very little reason to wear skate shoes. When people wear skate shoes they'll be asked "Do you skate" kinda awkward if you find yourself sayin "Nope, your guy's shoes are just so deliciously comfortable! :3" Like Forest Gump says "You can tell a lot about a person by the shoes they wear." |

I do have about 5 or 6 pairs of shoes though. I have a pair of Vans Slip ons (checker board), DC Characters, Converse Suede Track shoes, and two pairs of Birkenstocks. I've got a lot of shoes but I wear them all regularly, my Vans the most though. |

Re: Adidas, Vans, and other Footwear!
Yes, Adidas is a good brand andd I have purchased a lot of their footwear in the past years. Nike is good, too, whether I get athletic sandals or gym shoes. I mainly wear flip-flops in my everyday life, however.

Re: Adidas, Vans, and other Footwear!
I don't have any dedication to any particular type of footwear. When I got to buy shoes, I'll look for ones in the style I like, and then buy the most comfortable. Rarely do I go to buy a new set of sneakers knowing exactly which ones I want to get.
I generally get skate shoes (because they are so darn comfortable) or just some other casual shoes. Right now I have red Adidas Gazelles, which are pretty nice. They have the retro look to them, and are very comfortable. I've also bought Vans and ES's, but I think I usually just stick to Adidas these days. They make a good shoe in most styles, but I've found a lot of the time they are cheaper than Vans. But I still have no brand loyalty. In my area, at least that I've noticed, I'd say the majority of people with skate shoes don't actually skate. I think nowadays its more of a given that people wear them for the comfort and style, rather than for their actual purpose. Especially since they've become more and more associated with music (both music that you find - of course - on the Van's Warped Tour and Hip-Hop more and more these days, on the feet of Lupe Fiasco and Pharrel.

Nothing wrong with a pair of boots. I like to wear the Timberlands I picked up in Florida ($80 too, up yours U.K tax) most of the time.
I do have more dress trainers for casual wear though. Levi's seem to be the nicest in my eye. Training shoes are so 1990's. ![]() ~ Adhamh. |

Re: Adidas, Vans, and other Footwear!
Ah, good thread, _FTW_, I'm into my sneaks. As I am heavily into skateboarding, footwear comes hand in hand really. I go through little phases of what shoes i'm in to. I am a huge fan of 'es footwear', which has one of the best skate teams as of late, which may well make me lean towards them. The 'Accels' have been a long time favorite of mine, with great variety in colour schemes, which is always a good thing. Nike Air Force 2's are likely my favoured regular Nike shoe, but their Nike SB range has been pretty damn sweet, 'P-Rods' being an outstanding shoe, both aesthetically and performance wise (why did they stop making them?!). 'P-Rod 2s' are out now, but I havn't had a chance to grab a pair, but I hope they live up to their predecessors.
Other companys worth a mention for quality shoes, Circa, DVS, Supra (the Penny's are stunning) and even though I hate to say it, Lakai, even though they steal Koston from my preferred team, es. |

Re: Adidas, Vans, and other Footwear!
Do they need to be sneakers?
I never bought sneakers because my feet get all smelly in them. So I prefer 'normal' low shoes. At the moment I have some nice low Timberlands.

Re: Adidas, Vans, and other Footwear!
I like Puma's, though I have never had any. I normally just buy Chuck Tailors. But I realize that those shoes are no good for marching in. They make you fall on you face. I will see if I can get any Puma's this year.
I have always wanted those boots that come up to your calf's, but with out heels and in no flashy colors. My mom keeps telling me that those are hooker boots, but I don't really care. They are really expensive though. At least the ones I have found online are. I never see them at normal shoe stores.
