Indulgence... I want my money back!!

I have just walked 10 minutes down the road to Sainsburys to buy a birthday cake for myself because I was craving a chocolate catapillar cake. When I got there, I didn't buy the catapillar cake, I bought a football sponge cake instead to save on calories, and now I have got home, eaten half of it and feel sick and want my money back!! I spent £5 (10$) on half a cake that I don't want and it wasn't even the one I was originally craving!!! I am so frustrated with myself, and wish I had never forced myself to go down the road in the first place.
Let this be a lesson to you.... never, EVER give in to your sweet cravings, it is not worth the hastle!!

You obviously enjoyed it enough to stuff your face full of it, so I honestly doubt you'll get any sort of refund or sympathy.

You should probably get your money back for eating something that made you sick, unless you were stupid enough to eat half a cake at one time. How big was that cake?

But not being satisfied after eating something you didn't even have a craving for is your fault. Next time you have a craving, don't change your mind on what to eat.

It should also be noted that only an entitled **** who is not beaten enough would demand their money back for a product they bought and ate voluntarily, simply because they don't know how to eat only the amount they should. A person is solely responsible for buying what they want. If they bought something otehr thanb what they craved, then it's their fault. Similarly, eating half a birthday cake in one go isn't the store's fault either.
Now you'd have a poitn if you felt sick after having a slice, maybe two.

Sometimes, we need to lose money and suffer for our mistakes to learn that they are such - "mistakes". What's the point if others always pay for mistakes we voluntarily make?

And when you're buying a cake you do *not* even think about the calorie intake. I've never heard of anybody checking how many calories are in a cake before - if you're worried about calories you shouldn't be anywhere near the cake section! Back thyself up to fresh produce if you're worried about calories, and leave the cakes for those of us who don't give a ****!

That being said, I know what cakes you're talking about. They're pretty much just chocolate logs with a face painted on, right? Still at least you went to Sainsburys, had it been one of those Asda price cakes I'd advice you to and see your doctor.

It really anoys me when people make idiotic threads like this. If your so unhungry for this cake now, shove it in the fridge and eat it tomarrow for breakfast when your craving it again, my gawd...

It really annoys me that people like zeldask attempt to sound intelligent by making up words that are non-existent.

Yeah, I don't think a person can get a refund on half a cake because they weren't really hungry... That's kind of... Over-the-top, maybe?

And it would be a little demeaning to stroll into a supermarket, outthrust half a cake and say, "Miss_Navi eat too much. Miss_Navi sick. Miss_Navi want money."

Maybe you can get insurance for it, so whenever you get a craving again and end up regretting it you can get your money back!

I've done that before. Bought something I hadn't meant to then wished I hadn't. It was just kind of counted it off as a lesson learned.
I would also recommend not eating half a cake in the future, unless it's meant to be eaten in halves. >_>
