Friends

Even though I'm not new anymore I never did an "I'm New" kind of thread. But the point of me starting this tread is to form a small place where i can make and talk with friends.
All I want is to make a few friends

I am new. I found the nubie thread thing to be rather pointless. I think what you are doing is better. All I got on my I'm New thing was people reminding me not to break the rules.

You'll make friends as you go, guys. The only kinda friends you'll make this way are either ones who are n00bs or ones who pity you, haha.

Well, I'm definately not new anymore, lol, but everyone can use a friend. It took me about a month and a half to make ONE friend. Now, I have 9 friends! Yay for me!

Nice to meet you, names Ti-Link, and I'm so stupid, I have no idea how to make a sig!

Nothing wrong with being new! This only my second day on here and I already have people willing to help me with a project.

This thread, though, really isn't supposed to be around. This is becoming a Community Thread, which .. it isn't in reality... hah.

Then that places me as a n00b to i suppose lol. Anyways, for some reason i like reading on this forum better than posting, though posting now XD! One good occupation is the parody threads(writing fiction)

Let me advise all those who are seeking friends on ZU.

Trust me, it's hard to come by on these forums. If you do make a friend - it ends up as just a name you can put in your sig under "Friends". The only way you can possibly make friends is through posts and the such.

Wait till you make it into a clan, that is when you start coming by friends and you will soon come to enjoy them.

Asking for them won't do anything - it'll just take up your sig room.

Though I wonder, there is someone around here which made around 1500 posts since registering in march I think it is, is he still a newbie? Or a postwhoring newbie, or just a postwhore?

hm.. I disagree with nearly everything you said.
First of all - if your main reason for making friends is to stick their names up like trophies in your sig, then you're approaching this the wrong way completely :/

Friendship can never be forced. You interact, and through interaction, you'll find that you overlap with some people.. or clash too much, and all of these interactions will bring you closer to some to the point where you are friendly then eventually *friends*

If you only approach threads in an automatic answer-thread-question-then-go you are not interacting, and are presenting a poor case for friendship.

Also - don't hide your personality.
Lemme use an example - Josh - I can say so many positive things about this laddie for every negative thing someone else comes up with. He didn't change for the "cool" people to accept him, and that's great!
Stick to who you are and show us! ^___^

The fact is, this is not exactly the best way to get friends. Sure, I'll be friends with anyone who asks, so long as I get to know them. The way to make friends is through posts. Me and Elfen Lied post a lot on the "Online Petition". So we're buddies. (kinda). Or, people like Bobby Emerald can simply be befriended through PM.

You did not read my entire post.

Let me clarify for you so you understand better. "The only way you can make friends is through posts"....not from asking.

Asking never brings you friends....because one moment you could be like "Ok! We friends now!" and be in a huge fight later on. Asking leads to trophys in your sig. That ALWAYS happens....but if you try to make friends like you do in real life....it'll happen.

Have you ever gone up to a random person and said "Will you be my friend?" and he/she replies "Sure!"...It doesn't happen that way. Only through talking and interacting can one come upon friends.

I think what you missed, A_Q, is the point that FTW was making about "trophies". "Trophies" are worthless in this respect. That's what he was saying.

I would really like to hear from those who do the "ask then stick name on sig" thing and get their tak on it. Does it REALLY make you friends? why do you do it? etc
