I remember one where he (supposedly) pushed a quarter into his skin, and slit his wrist to get it out. Not questioning the validity of the trick, just thought it was hilarious. |

Re: Criss Angel
There was one where he split a woman in half. I don't think it was easily faked because she screamed her ass off and was going crazy. I thought it was funny how he did it. That's something that's hard to explain (tell that to my skeptic friend, though XD. He thinks he knows).
Anyone have an idea? |

Also, in the voodoo script, notice that he didn't make the other people bleed, only himself. Also, what civilian would just give their ring to some random stranger and then turn their back?

But yeah. It showed how it's possible to make it look like you've split someone in two by playing two separate videos side by side. I believe, in the video, the woman's top half hopped off the bench and started dragging itself around. I'm not exactly sure how they did that, but with or without video effects, it's hardly an astounding feat of illusion. And it's rather well known that Criss Angel fancies video effects and hired volunteers. Granted, his volunteers are usually very good, which is essential to illusion. If he's going to do it, I'm at least glad he does it properly.

Re: Criss Angel
i see how he did it now. That is kinda sad but I read the rest too. It says hes still a good street magician which i already know. And I've seen criss do little stuff thats true and not changed by camera. a lot of his stuff is still pretty impressive. the article also says that hes trying to entertain too. And it is a way to entertain cause when i first saw it i was amazed. Sadly he probably does that stuff for rating on the show. But its still fun to watch isnt it? We all know that you cant really do some of those things anyway right? So I guess as long as the stuff he does still makes people go "woah!" or other frases i dont want to type I still think hes a good magician/illusionist.

Re: Criss Angel
Well I never really have seen any magic shows in my life. Criss is the only one that i saw a lot of tricks from. So I don't know a lot about any other magicians. I'm sure what you say is true though. But I still think he's pretty cool cause of the stuff mentioned before and that he also makes me wonder how cool it'd be if you could really do that stuff like levitating and walking on water. (not cutting myself/others in half, i dont find that fun to be able to do to someone.)

Re: Criss Angel
Some of the things, like walking on water and those extreme levitating illusions, are those that astonish me. Maybe they are edited videos, or maybe they aren't. However, there are a few things Criss does that I don't know if people can come up with a reasonable solution. One of those tricks is making the car disappear with only a fire extinguisher out in the open as it drives at a high speed. I've heard some things like "he turns left and hides behind the stacks of hay," or something as stupid if not more. Editing might have not worked, because I don't think he can have kids acting so well like they did and not give it away.
I also want to know how he did the levitating above the pyramid-shaped building one his first episode of season 3. Alot of the people on the ground acted real to me. I can tell if someone's acting or not, because it's obvious enough to know if you think about it. Those people didn't seem to be acting, so how could he pull off that feat? |

Re: Criss Angel
i wonder that too. He shows how he does small levitations on a video, nothing special he uses something in front o make it look like hes levitating. But he doesnt explain how he does it from extreme heights like the pyramid thing and inside it from the top of the lobby area. I still wonder how he does that. The camera even zoomed up after he did it showing no kind of crane or anything.

Re: Criss Angel
You can never tell for sure whether someone is truly astonished. You can tell if they're acting poorly, but never that they're surely not acting.
![]() Criss Angel's levitation is of good quality. But David Blaine can deliver it far better than he can. I've always found his displays to be more entertaining, despite the fact that he barely leaves the ground. But there's really no point in arguing over who's got levitation licked. David Copperfield can fly. And not only does he put on an incredible show, but he eliminates the possibility of suspension in front of a live audience. YouTube - david copperfield flying
