Have you ever played Bloody Mary?

Have you ever played Bloody Mary? If you don't know what it is heres some info on it http://www.castleofspirits.com/bloodymary.html

I've played it but sorta wrong. I played with my cousins and we ran out of the bathroom before anything happened and i played at school with some friends running away with nothing happening. That was years ago though when i lived in Philly.

Re: Have you ever played Bloody Mary?

The way i see it is they got the whole thing slightly wrong... It's usually 3 times spinning around in the dark saying 'Bloody Mary' once for each rotation, in a bathroom or any SMALL room with no windows and no light coming in the door, and a mirror. Never did it myself, or know anyone who has, but everyone around here knows the Car Accident story and not the witch one or whatever. I don't ever paln on doing it either 0.o

Though the hooker Man should be right across the roda, need to do that sometime soon. That is my street corner featured in the Hookerman legend. 0.o Weird New Jersey Kicks ass for that kind of stuff. (The barn jsut got torn down last weeek though, I live in the woods right behind it)

Re: Have you ever played Bloody Mary?

Hookerman Legend? Never heard of it...do tell.

As for Bloody Mary, I've played it many times, though I've never "seen" anything. The stories of seeing ghosts are mostly results of over-reactive imaginations and perhaps the odd optical illusion.

Well the Jersey Devil In Down in the Pine Barons in South Jersey, so my nightime frolics in the woods are safe The Jersey Devil Is Mrs Leeds giving birth to her 13th child on a Stormy Night in their Shacklike house down in the Forest. Now by accounts of the story the shack can either be blown apart upon his birth or have a normal birth and a metamorphisis over a few months into the horrid creature. Now either everyone died as the House blew apart or eventually after becoming fully changed it killed it's mother and anyone around and still roams the Pine Barons and it you ecounter it,, mercy be upon your sole. But that one is common

Now the HookerMan is a entity upon it's own. See those red Barns in the photo? well that used to be a train depot among other things and where my fence is in the photo there are still pieces of where older tracks went through. And another and Old Tarn that it all led to farther into the woods past my house. Well Back when the Railroad was booming and Flanders and Bartley(that area) was and older town with a train depot, a worker was out on the tracks and got caught when the train came by it cut his hand off. He now wanders up and down the tracks at night in search of it. If you are out on them at night you can see his lantern coming toward you with no sound of car or train or anything and usually as soon as it gets close he disapears.

That corner is oneof 2 hotspots for seeing him out at night. My Dad and his friends have done it, outlining that exact expirence. PM me if you want to know how people 'debunk' it, cause honestly the story is too good to say anything against it especially when so many people have seen it, science has nothing! check out www.weirdnj.com for this kinda stuff, i love that magazine.

Re: Have you ever played Bloody Mary?

If you wanna know something the whole point of bloody mary is to stare at the mirror when you do it. People added stuff to make you look stupid when you did it. No light, but the mirror still reflects your image in some wierd way, just so that you can't see it. You say it enough times till your eyes adjust, and by that time your vision is thwarted creating the illusion that you've seen a ghost. Just stare at the mirror for a Loooong time, and just look at yourself, and try not to think of move, eventually you'll see your face disappear, or you'll see yourself age. Just a trick of the eye that's all it's nothing new I do it all the time when I'm bored.

Your not seeing the infamous Mary of England that had to drink blood in order to keep her skin normal. *she had a low low iron count, she couldn't keep it up so she had to drink blood.* She's dead in england and I'm pretty sure the dead girl has better things to do then visit every hobo who chants bloody mary a few times in the mirror. Yes I've tired, yes I saw crap, but reason led me to believe I was scared of my own reflection...... >_> Stupid Kishin.

Yes, its wierd staring at yourself for awhile in the mirror. It really does seem like you age, and you get this huge rush.

Re: Have you ever played Bloody Mary?

Ahem. You all seem to have some odd ideas about where the term 'Bloody Mary' comes from. Bloody Mary was a nickname originally given to Mary I of England (daughter of Henry VIII, sister of Elizabeth I). She burned a bunch of Protestants at the stake during her 5 year rule as Queen. Although she actually did less unnsecary killing than many of her predessors, she got a reputation for being ruthless. She didnt drink blood, she didnt have an iron deficiency, that must be a different Mary Kishin was talking about....

Yeah, Bloody Mary is also a drink. Tomato juice mixed with alcohol and stirred with a celery stick. <----- Nasty

So, to make this not off-topic.... I havent ever played it, and I dont think i will. Whats the point? Its just some dumb game kids play at slumber parties to scare each other. It all seems rather stupid. Mostly people seeing ghosts and spirits and stuff is the result of the power of suggestion, other people told you they saw it, so you see it as well.

Re: Have you ever played Bloody Mary?

Unfortunately, I don't snort coke at slumber parties either....
I'd rather watch girls have pillow fights... In their underwear.
And with brick in the pillows... Interesting
