School/Town "Trends"

I was thinking about school over the past vacation day and was thinking about what we always do. At my school this one guy who loves G-Unit started going around the school chainting "G-Unit!" now everyine is doing it. We also always piss off our science teacher. I was wondering if anyone else has a town or school where everyone or a group of people always do something unique.

Re: School/Town "Trends"

There isn't many noticeable trends at my school. It's difficult for trends to develop in high schools because the student body is way too diverse and big. But in elementry and middle school, the student body is much smaller and close, so trends always pop up.

In elementry school metal pog slammers were huge. No one actually played pogs, they just liked the slammers. In middle school slang words like "moted" were popular.

Trends. Let me take you back, back *Fireball pulls out a shovel and wacks every one in the head* we are now back in 1994, I was in grade five. Pogs never took off but tazo did. They were exactly like pogs except they came in chip packets and their was two types looney tunes and the cheetah mascot of cheetos (only available in that kind) every few months their was a new kind of looney tunes set ending with the space jam ones. Their popularity waned but then something amazing happened, Star Wars tazo's. They were cool again this lasted awhile but then the where gone. Since then we have had various simpsons sets and even a lord of the rings one but they never held the pride of place they did back when I was in grade 5.

Re: School/Town "Trends"

<SRG> Metallica sold out in 45 mins :/
<NotOneOfUs> Yeah I know.
<NotOneOfUs> Oh wait
<NotOneOfUs> You mean, like, a concert?
<SRG> yes

The site is from Hindmost.

I think that pretty much everyplace goes through that "trucker hat" phase kid Capri. I didn't but a few of my friends did. I also think that everyone goes through the "2pac is still alive" phase and the "Michael Jackson is still cool" phase.

note. I don't mean to pay out MJ, I have nothing against him.

Re: School/Town "Trends"

Yeah, alot of my friends think that 2pac lives... And was supposed to "reserect" in september last:p year...
But that never happened so my friends were all like, "He knew everyone was expecting it, so he didn't come back"...
So I'm like, "Yeah... He didn't come back... 'cause he's dead"

And they still belive he's alive... fools.

As for micheal jackson... I dunno what to beliv e about that wierdo... He was a black male, now he's a white woman

Re: School/Town "Trends"

In about P4 (not sure which 'grade' that was) all my friends learned how to draw this little cave man with just a face, and two arms and legs sticking out of his head. I think they called him 'Oggum'.
Everyone did it (except me, thank god) and they even made a mini-school enterprise with it. That went down the drain though hehe.
Wrestling stickers, Pokemon cards, and these little Millenuim Aliens that were supposed to breed with each other and be able to walk around on the Millenuim.

It's hard to think I was ever that gullable.
