Pen Spinning

Pen spinning is the art of, you guessed it, spinning a pen.

It is a type of juggling which takes much practice. I LOVE it and am starting to do it. I can do several tricks one of which is called the thumbaround. The other tricks are ones I mainly made up and some aren't even technically tricks!

I'll post a tutorial video for the thumbaround and another one of Japanese penspinning which will blow your mind.

Honestly, teaching people how to spin pens with their thumbs?

Every Aussie I've ever worked with can do it. I can't, and managed to flick a pen halfway across a room trying it.

That is not sport. It is a pastime, something to amuse friends and colleagues with. It is nice to watch, nonetheless.

I can do the thumb spin, as well as a 360 spin around the middle finger. a ring finger transfer and back is another possibility.

Gah, Every time I try this trick my pen goes flying.

Wow, that's really cool! I tried out the 360 thumbspin trick and I finally nailed it after 10 or so tries. <_< But still, it looks really cool.
