Break ups

If anyone gets sad memories because of this thread, I am very sorry and I wish not to...

Anyways, its not what it looks. I did not break up with anyone- but my sister did. Today, I found out that my half sister and her boyfriend broke up. I was shocked, I heard it at dinner when my mom and brother told my dad, and while he stood petrified, I froze. I didn't look it, but inside, I can't even descibe it. I know it may not seem bad, but now I'm worried as heck. Her boyfriend was the greatest guy ever. I don't have a terriffic relationship with my real brother, but I did with this guy. I may have not have seen him all the time, but I truely felt like he was my second big brother. Now I worry- that I may never see him again because of this...

i'm sorry mirren, that's awful. maybe you could get his phone number from your sis when see calms down. is she alright? i hope things work out the way you want them too, sorry. *hugs*

I'm sure you'll see him again just hang out with him and some friends. By the way you make it sound it seems like he had a reasonable reason for breaking up with your sister. It's just one guy anyway.

i don't see any reason for you two to break the friendship, you shouldn't if you're just scared of bothering your sister, heck i would have become a hermit ages ago

Mirren, I am really sorry for you, but like Anime_Queen says, you should keep you friendship with him. Last year, me and my boyfriend's brother were really good friends, but when I broke up with my boyfriend, I didn't talk to him anymore. I still see his brother at college, but I think I shouldn't have messed my friendship with him. He didn't do anything after all.

They're both fine, it was nothing they were disheartened over, luckily.

try to imagine how your sister feels, even if she sais she's po'ed or mad and doesn't care... she does.

No, he is not implying that. People say, "oh its ok, no problem". You probably do that yourself. People try not to bother others with their problems. Then there are women, and believe me Mirren, yes can mean no, black can be white and night can be day. When people feel sad- its usually a thing that is very isolating, and people tend to sequester themselves away from the help of others. It may be a dumb thing to do, but we all seem to do it in some way to ourselves.

Yeah, but I seriously think she's alright. I highly doubt that she would keep this problem away. She's not like taht, she may only be my half sister, but I've known her all my life. I know how she is. If this was really affecting her, she'd tell my family or especially my dad. I'm positive.

not always Mirren... you cant say you know your sister THAT much, im sure she has feelings she doesnt tell anyone for her own reasons, somthin like this COULD be a huge impact on her life... and would feel low about it, and not want others to think she feels that way so she may hide it. You wont know.

Yup. She could be hiding some sad feeling because she doesn't want to talk about it, so she won't get even sadder. I'm sure she feels really rotten inside and must be really depressed. I feel sorry for both of you Mirren, since You're sister loved her boyfriend and he was your friend and you won't be able to see him nearly as much as you were accustomed to. You should get your sister to give you her boyfirend's phone number, so you'll be able to talk to each other.

Well, I doubt that will be needed, because knowing how close he was to my family, we'll see him around. Besides he said he's gonna show my older brother around at his collage, plus I've got his screen name and email, so I can talk to him whenever he's online. So, I hope everything goes well and I can still see him.

Breakups? Huu.. I've had one big one, and that is more then enpguhr for me. I hope I will nver heve to go troguht that again. One of the worse things' ive done. But still I tink my seperationw ith my ex was easier than some other breakues, We decided that together and we didn't fight.. too much... I think Í almost over it, but you never know. Suddenlu the feelings are just attakcign your form everywhere...
