Which clan?

Which clan do you want to join/are already in?

(please don't instantly lock this thread! PLEASE! This can be turned around from potential moronic one-word only answers to a *gasps* discussion! o__o )

OK guys, we've never really had this discussion thingy in GCC (apart from the random MY CLAN PWN URS when posting in newbies' welcome threads). To make this more meaningful, post why you see your clan as the right choice for you , or whether you feel it's all arbitrary.
To those who have moved clans .. did you find that that was the right decision?

What DOES the clan thing mean to you? I notice some people barely ever stray out to the rest of the forums, while others never look into their clan - why's that?
If you had the choice, would you do away with the clans? and why?

Hmm, well I've always wanted to get into Nayru, so I hope, that when I get my test I get in it. I really could care less which clan I get into, because the people vary, but Nayru ranks up there.

Well, I don't think there's anyone who can honestly dispute that I'm in the right Clan. While I admittedly don't post as much as I used to, I kinda consider the place my home around here. Some of the people are loads of fun to play around with, and we've had some great times. How many of the more established Dinnies didn't enjoy the first few HQs?

We didn't. The Great Lioness did back before I took the Test (either that, or very shortly afterwards). Why don't you go and ask her?

So far as ZU is concerned, it's home. Comfortable. A place I can just relax and have fun in (despite being the mod of the place).

Kite, you're up for taking the clan test ... you have fifty posts and also have just now been a member for a month. So if you need the test, you can PM me or another Admin. Or, if you've already PMed someone, just ignore me. xD

Farore was the clan I was chosen to be put in, years ago, and I think it suits me for certain reasons. Obviously, you can't be completely analyzed into the perfect clan, as people's personalities are more complex than just three defferent catagories...however, I'm sure being put in another clan besides Farore wouldn't of been as fun to me, and I may not of even been made mod of it. Even if I do come off harsh, I love all those goonies in there liike they're meh babies.. *noogies*

Some people like clans, because it's smaller. Some people don't care for the social aspect forums have to offer, and just want to discuss and read up on information. Thats probably a main difference as to why some never visit outside Clans, or why some never venture in their clans.

As for me, I joined Zelda Universe for the sole purpose to well, see what it was like. I didn't even know what a forum was really, or how they operated. But after a certain point, I began to realize the main reason why I stayed on this site and decide to help out is because of the community - which alot of came from the clans.

Besides, Farore is just a kickarse goddess.

Hmm.. talking of which, I haven't really contributed to this thread yet. Ok..

I love Nayru, and it has a million or so people whom I just love along with their posts. People like Awkin, Sacred Sturgeon, Gezmok, Rising Light, Ozzy, Schmezzie, Kika, Topo etc etc
It has that very close-knit family feel to it and it's so laid back. However, for me, sometimes that's why I can't post in there (bear with me)

You see, when you have a very close-knit community, if you go away for a few months out of necessity and only return sporadically, you might feel that you're intruding on a nice wee cozy atmosphere. That's how I feel so I refrain from posting <__>
And because I can't keep up *feels terrible*

That's why I take to dropping in on Din mostly. which is more random and fast-paced than Nayru. Not to mention that there are *also* a lot of members there whom I just enjoy being around and reading their posts. I mean, who wouldn't want to read more Vega posts? and it's a way to keep up with friends dear to me's happenings like Ashley.

Oh and to mock battle Tiroth, Hylian Z, Scoria ad the rest.

There's an atmosphere in clans that you will only be able to find in the clans. And for this reason, I'm grateful we have them :3
