Ok UK ZU'ers .. this could be brilliant!

Heyhey one and all!

Right.. where to begin..

I have often felt a wee bit ashamed at myself for living in a small country (well.. relative to most others anyway! :p ) and, after about 3 years and a half, still not managing to meet any other ZU'ers (apart from Anna.. who came over all the way from Sweden, bless her!). So..

There is going to an International Comic convention in Bristol on the 12th/13th of May. I need to go for signing and promotion works anyway as well as because I want to.

However!

At first, I tentatively approached Yami and Dom and asked if they could go and they might be able to.. then I extended the idea over to Ash/Ganon's Daughter and she might also be possibly interested. And now, Mi/SuperDecimal is entertaining the idea. Of course, if Yam and Dom are going along, my brother (Fox McCleod) has affirmed he'll be going too.

So, I figured it would be great if we can make this an opportunity for a mass UK ZU'er get-together!

This thread is to throw the idea out there, allow you guys to consider it and to voice your yays/nays here.

I might come, not really into comics but I could come to meet some Zu'ers, i've been to bristol before, it's most likely a no because I don't know how to get there but.. erm i'll think.

Bristol England... if you would have said july it would have been a go for me... But I cannot right at those times unfortunately... hopefully many people can attend and the pictures can make it to the scrapbook

It depends on how far it is. I'm still going to be on vacations then, but I need to know how far it is.

*laughs* it's funny that we'll both leave Birmingham, travel to Bristol to shake hands there then return to the same city xD

Then again.. I know the UK is infamous for it's strange weather, but I still doubt that there'd be any snow in sight in July :3

Lemme get a map (and which city are yOU in? )

Grab amicroscope and map of Mexico. Look or a city called Tecate. It's in Baja California. Somewhere betwen Tijuana, Ensenada, Mexicali and San Diego. Almost touching the border(actually, It's touching the border, there are houses that have that wall just 3 meters away from them).

Unfortunatly I'll be in the states that day, but if I wasn't I'd be there in a flash.

I look forward to seeing how this progresses though.

I often go to the UK to carry the bag for my cousin (who is a golf pro) but unfortunatly the stars didnt line up

Woudnt want to ski in the UK... snowball fights though .

If you dont want pictures taken... be the one who takes pictures

Seriously, though, good luck with the meeting and whatnot. I won't be coming (obviously) but I'm sure may others wouldn't miss it for the world.

Its brilliant... Exept for the years that I have done it the UK weather gods arranged it so it was miserable oh well Im really bummed that It doesnt line up :S

About guys asking your parents - the good thing about the event is that it's a public international event. It could just be considered a family day out too and bring parent/older siblings along too if it will make the chances of you going any higher (that is, of course, if you *want* to go in the first place :p )

One of my favourite ZU'ers seems to not be able to make it (you'll be in my heart that day!) but hey. Keep confirmations coming (looking at you Yam, Dom =) (Ash can take her time :3 )
