ZU Wreck List

Well, certain events last night made me think of adding this to the ZU forums. I was in a wreck last night coming home from work. So I was thinking, "I wonder if any fellow ZUers have been in a wreck before, and how serious it was. "

So, pretty much, If you've been in one then put your name down and tell what/how it happened. If for some reason you don't want to discuss(bad memories, death, etc.) then just put your name down, we understand a wreck is a scary experience. And I'll start it out...

It all started at the begining of this weekend, in which I worked from 4-9 on Fri., came home then went camping with my fellow Scouts. I hardly slept a wink because it was so cold out, around in the teens all night. I woke up Sat. morning ate some breakfast and had to be at work at 12. So, went to work and got off at 9 and came home, got some clothes then went back to the campsite and ate, then bedtime. Could barely sleep at all that night as well. and got up yesterday morning, ate then went into work at 12 again. Got off at 6 and was heading home, and wasn't even 2 miles from my house when I ran off the road because I had fallen asleep at the wheel(due to only getting about 7 hours of sleep this entire weekend, with work on tip of that) and hit an embankment, and was only inches away from a telephone control box, and cleaned out the sitch and the side of the embankment with the front end of my 96 GMC Jimmy. Finally I came out of the ditch and back on the road and pulled off to the side. I could barely see because the airbag busted and all of the powder inside filled the SUV and I could barely see a thing. Called dad and the cops came, I didn't get a ticket or anything, and since there wasn't any damage, everyone was fine and didn't say much bad things about it. I'm just glad I had my seatbelt on.

It was so scary and I think that my Jimmy might be totaled. It was really dark out so i couldn't telll much then but my ad is going to get it and winch it up on his trailer this morning why I am in school.

Woah, lucky there were no injuries. I've never been in a wreck myself.

I was coming home the other night around 7:45ish, and it was dark out, and I was just driving on the gravel road to get home, going about 35 to 40, when all of a sudden there's a deer in front of my '94 Toyota 4Runner (which is a clutch, which I have only been driving about a month) so I had to slam on the brakes and clutch at the same time, but I still it directly on. The deer from the neck to the butt hit like perfectly the front end and I went into the ditch and had to use 4-wheel drive to get out, and I was about less than a foot away from a tree, so I lucked out there...but yeah. It was pretty scary, and I didn't know what to do when I was in the ditch, I just kinda sat there for a bit, but yeah. Luckily there's a like, "deer slayer'' as my dad likes to call them, or more like a grill thing that's on the front end that has lights on it and stick out farther, so none of the actual lights or anything are hurt, the front part is just dented in a bit, if that thing wasn't there though, I'd probably have lost a headlight or two and had a rather large like bump in the hood or something.

The deer in Northern Minnesota are just horrible for driving, you always see a lot of dead ones along the side of the highway. A wii bit sad, if I may so.

I was 2 years old in my Dad's car. Me and him were driving over a bridge and this truck comes out of nowhere. Hits us, the only thing that stopped us from going off the side was a guard-rail.

Second day that I got my beginner license, I backed up my car in the school parking lot and slammed into another car. It wans't a hard hit, more like a: "Made contact, then push" kinda hit. Needless to say, no paint was scrapped off for either car. My bumper was still in perfect shape. The door of the other car was a different story. It was completely dent in.

No one was hurt. Everything was settled peacefully.

My mom's car got totalled when this young 21 year old dorkus T-Boned us while entering the parking lot of the post office.

My mom was badly bruised, and she broke her thumb, but I wasn't hurt, thankfully.

At least we got a shiny awesome new car out of it.

My grandpa wasn't paying attention when he was driving out of the parking lot from Albertsons or something and ran into another guy's car. Not much damage, but it was funny to hear my grandfather cuss

Me and my brother (he's now 18 and has his driver's license, thank God!) were getting out of a parking lot when this stupid guy in an F-350 parked on a parking behind us and wasn't watching that we were going in reverse. My brother hit the guy's truck and my brother new he was going to get busted(he was 17 and without a driver's license). The worst part was that the owner of the truck was a cop on vacation. I didn't like that guy from the start. He was racist(me and my bro are Mexican-American) and he treated my brother like crap. We got the whole thing worked out but they towed my bro.'s Mustang and then they called my parents to pick us up. My bro had to wait for about half a year just to apply to get his license. Even though we were pissed when it happened, we look back on it now and laugh!:XD

Sorry for hearing that, I know where you come from.

I was 13 years old and my sister was "teaching" me how to drive. Luckley she made me wear a seat belt. Anyway, I was driving down main streets and turns very well for someone that age who had never sat behind a wheel. Then my sister was planning on going to her boyfriends house and I didn't know about it but she thought that she told me we were going there first. When we were by-passing a street my sister (16 at the time, without no liscense, stupid me) said: Turn, turn, TURN!
I panicked and I turned the wheel a little too hard and I was too scared to take my foot off the pedal. I was trying my best to stay on the street but being that this SUV was in four wheel drive I couldn't control it that well. I crashed and totaled the SUV into a gay guys antique shop.
The sad thing is, we just got the SUV three days before the accident.

I hope that make you feel better. It really did happen. I told people about that at school and I was the most popular guy in school for like a month.

oh but there is one more.

I snuck out of my house when I was fourteen and my girlfriend stole her stepdads car and was going to pick me up at 2 in the morning. She turned out of s street onto a main one and some guy rammed right into us. I was in the back seat and my (ex) girlfriend was driving with her step sister. funny
