Finally! I'm Published!

Yes! After three years of revising and revising yet again, I finished my story and it's avalible! Well...sorta. It's only avalible here:

It won't make it into book stores until I can afford global distribution. >.< hopefully having it avalible on the home site will help out with the $100 that is needed. The synopsis (or description) is on the page so don't post asking for it! ... Yeah, this is why I haven't been here on ZU for a while. (Well, and I moved also!) I'll be showing and telling about it in my creative writing class tomorrow so I'm a little nervous. I've been told that it sounds like it would be a movie, so I really hope it does well. I can't think of working as anything but a writer :embrsd: it's my passion...well, God comes first though...over everything!!

Regardless of whether if it's a site that you can publish anything (not sure for that matter), congrats on finishing a book. It's a great achievement and you've worked hard for it.

as for inspriation, well, i really just started thinking of an idea for a story on halloween a couple years ago. My church was doing a think called 'trunk' or treat and my parents had decided to help out, and my best friend dragged me into it. So, sitting there passing out candy from the back of my parent's car in a medieval dress that was from the boar's head dinner that we were going to at christmas, i started day dreaming like i alwaysdo. That night I went home, sat in my room and started. It actually took me two years to get such an awesome title. I spent most of my time on Word over the summers when my parents weren't home and i had to babysit my little brother.
I've actually started on the sequel and in chapter 2 of the first draft. wOOT!!!! i can't wait to see how long this one's going to take me!

Oh, congratulations! This is amazing - kudos for a job well performed, completed, and published! It truly is a beautiful accomplishment, and I'm so delighted that you shared it with ZU. ^^ Congrats again.

Um... I thought this was a self-publishing site too... I didn't think it was really "getting published" if you did it on your own...

Well, either way, congrats for completing your entire story! Most wannabe authors don't even get that far and they just end up stopping after a few chapters... ^^;
