I'm sorry for posting this.

Goodbye threads are such a drag. They are usually used for attention, but sometimes they are legit. I guess some people like knowing that people actually appreciate their input on things in these forums. When posting a goodbye thread, I've noticed that, sometimes, there is a lot of hating going on. Seriously, don't insult me or anything for making this because my reasoning for leaving is true. I'm not in this for attention.

When I first came to ZU, I enjoyed it. Infact, I loved it. Most people here are honest and nice, Malony is the best example, and most people here accept Newbies. My Zelda interest was at its prime when I joined, and I finally got to meet other die hard fans when I came here. Sadly, my love for these forums is long gone. I find the topics becoming overly repetative, like this one, and all I seem to do is complain.

I've read about the way some of you interact with one another, and I am amazed that forums can do that. This truly is a special place, not just for Zelda fanatics, but for everyone. However, I can not continue to post on these forums.
They are over crowded and simply irritating to post on. Its a shame when you post something that you put thought into and then, seconds later, there is already another post; it completely leaves your "well thought out" post in the dust, and it sometimes is overshadowed by spam. For me, the magic here is gone. I'm just annoyed of the number of posts.

Before I said goodbye, I'd like to thank Mute, Malony, and PrincessK. No paticular reason for thanking them. I guess they were just my favorites, even though I haven't really talked to them directly. Even though he didn't like me that much, I'd also like to thank Mercutio for putting people in their place in arguements. ALthough, sometimes, he was an ******* about it, he did manage to build him self a sturdy defense.

well, yeah, i've definately gone through exactly what you are right now, echo, and have to say that you can ignore whatever you want here. honestly, there are some horribly repetitive sections of the forums i make clear that i will steer clear of... i pop in every once in a while, and if there aren't any topics that seem good, i'll just pass it all over and go back to what i was doing before...

there are some stellar topics everywhere on the forums, it just takes a while to get the skill to learn how to find them... ^_^

but if you're leaving, it's great that you took something out of it in the end... whatever you learned, and whatever friendships you made shall always rock...

Where'd you get that from? o-o You are certainly a great member, and I definately noticed your absense from the boards recently. I'd encourage you to stay, but that's up to you, all I can say is that you *will* be missed.

I can understand you perfectly, as I just said. I am also annoyed on how ZU is more of a 'General Chit-Chat Universe' instead of a 'Zelda Universe'. Heck, even FF lovers join just to tell us how much Zelda sucks on this and that, and how Nintendo lacks RPGs. I'm not calling FF lovers Zelda haters, but I mean that I have seen alot of that.

Sometimes I think there are people joining JUST for the General Chit-Chatting and the other General stuff.

I know the Zelda boards are active, but the General one is perhaps 10x times more.

Sorry for this, but I had to get it out. I might get flamed, I might not.

I thought about leaving this forum, a week ago. But I’m still here even if people on these forums find me a bit to "realistic". When I returned from my well-earned long-two-months holiday, I was confused. I mean all the people I use to talk to were no were to be seen. I found myself talking to weirdo newbies, spammers, and people who just love to post the opposite of what you say.

I think the forums have gone from a: well-constructed content to some thing I can only describe as a cocktail of contort posting. Maybe some kind of revolution took place on these forums, when I was on holiday, and the old members were silenced by an uproar of newbie-ism. Well if you’re leaving EchoSideNinja17 then good luck finding a forum that-out-last its Golden age.

You are, IMO, people who actually puts a lot of though and research into your posts. It really would be horrible to see you go. Ecspecially when you are less than three weeks away from a years stay!

It is sad to see you go EchoSidNinja17. I would much rather see a goodbye thread for valued members as opposed to a 4 word post in the community thread.

It is interesting that you are just now mentioning this. It seems that you are not the only one who feels this way. Perhaps you should make a suggestion concerning this in the Feedback/Questions/Suggestions Forum.
