Chinese "Doctor" Kills Two Men

A Chinese martial arts expert was in custody yesterday after turning the tables on four burglars armed with knives, killing two of them and seriously wounding a third.

The 28-year-old man, known as "the doctor" for his practice of acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine, managed to seize one of the two knives carried by his assailants and saw off the entire group with the ferocity of his reaction.

Magistrates in the central Italian town of Empoli are now seeking to establish whether his self-defence constituted an excessive use of force.

The butchery, worthy of a Quentin Tarantino film, began shortly before midnight on Friday when the four men knocked at the apartment of a Chinese hairdresser in the centre of Empoli.

The hairdresser, her assistant and "the doctor", who operated from the same premises, were reportedly overpowered and tied up before the group, all thought to be in their 20s and 30s, ransacked the apartment.

Disappointed by their meagre booty, the attackers allegedly threatened to rape the two women unless they told them where the rest of their money was hidden.

At this point the doctor managed to free himself, seize a knife from one of the aggressors and deliver a series of lethal stab wounds.

Investigators found the body of one man, who had been stabbed in the heart, sprawled on the staircase and another man bleeding to death in the street from a wound to his leg. A third man is recovering in hospital from a punctured lung.

The doctor was found crouching in the entrance to the building with cuts to his shoulder, face and hands.

Investigators are trying to determine whether he inflicted the injuries while defending himself inside the apartment, or hunted down the burglars after they had fled.

I know martial arts myself but.... >_> It's supposed to be more of a self defence not be so lethal and seriously torture your opponent...

Wow, that guy sounds like a psycho. Well i say that he shouldnt have killed them but in a way they deserved what they got (no1 dont take this post literally okies??) I dont think he will go to jail that long, he will plead self defence.

But I think most people would have done anything to get back on those guys if they were at a situation like that... >_>

I with you Sir Auron.. I think they should've got what they deserved. But I guess the "doctor" will feel guilty a little. As long as he has a good layour.

Merc. I wonder if the girls whould say it was self defence. Like they could say something tooken the wrong was way which sends the "doctor" to jail.

Yeah thats true Ganons Daughter, what did happen to the other burglar. I just guess that he is still at large, plus i think that th karate master might have a small amount of guilt, only because he could have done things different in that situation. I dont think its a question about having a good lawyer, its a question weather the other girls will give a testimony of self defence like u said. A very interesting story, id like to know the outcome of it.

Yeah, I believe the fourth most likely escaped. I know in Australia the law states that if attacked, you can strike back with equal force, so technically I guess he is pretty safe, because he was attacked by armed men, which were going to do that sort of harm to him. So he prevented the situation.

yeah that is true ey, so i recon either (unless he gets really screwed over) he will get either no sentence or a minor sentence. I say this cause he didnt have to kill those men, even though he was in a life threatening situation. In karate youre taught not only to defend yourself but to learn how to use non lethal techniques for these days

Yeah, I don't think that the doctor guy should get that huge of a sentence. It was pretty much selfdefence, even if an excessive amount of force was used. It said that he was cut in the shoulder, face and hands. Therefore, like what was said, it can be argued that they used a knife, so he used a knife, only better. :rolleyes:

Wow, that's insane...I doubt he's going to get any jail time, considering that he was outnumbered and they were willing to kill him. After all, he did have cuts on himself, showing that he was attacked at some point...of course, for any number of reasons he could have faked it, but I see no point in that at all.

Anyway It might have been just self-defence or he killed them. I might havwe hunted them down but not actually killed them. I geuss it was the burgulars fault cause if they weren't there in the first place they wouldn't have died. I would give thechinese martial arts guy 1-2 year in jail, tops.

Yeah well as every1 has been saying. The burglars got what they deserved, they were going to maliciously kill those popel if they tried something so in my eyes that karate master guy did a brave thing. Im telling you now i wouldnt be able to look someone in the eye and just kill them.

Serves them right. Myself, I think that anyone should be able to retaliate against criminals that come into their homes and do stuff like that. *shrug*
