Do you think US troops should stay longer in Iraq?

They have to stay and rebuild.

well since you Americans were the driving force behind invading Iraq, it’s your responsibility to give them the "Freedom" you always talk about.

they need to get out, I have family who was told they would be back home in less then a year and last week was the mark that my uncle has been there for one year, he has a wife and two kids and they are barly one year old. I wish he could come home. V_V

I think that the Americans should stay and rebuild. They promised they would plus you wouldnt just leave a country while its whole government has been shattered. Leaving now would be very irresponsible!!

I also think they should get out but they invaded and destroyed a country they just can't leave they have to rebuild. Nobody in my family is in Iraq but back in Peru my dad worked in the Navy in the times of terrorism there each time he leaved home i kiss him goodbye like it was the last time because most of them didnt come back i am really lucky he did.

we got ourselves into this, and dragged the iraqis in. leaving them in this state, besides being the most selfish thing ever, isn't going to help ANYONE in the long run.

But is it just the US forces doing it? No-sir, its the Coalition of Spanish, Danish, Italian, Australian, Polish, Estonian, Hondurian, Bulgarian, Albanian, Korean, Lithuanian and Czech forces dedicated to reconstruction.

US could very well pull out, and fund the whole re-building from the outside. But I doubt that it'd be very good for that World status, as if its not bad enough already.

thats why the title is "The US and everybody else" but anyways I think you got a point maybe they already want to go out for all the stuff that has been happening but they cant because they were the ones who started the war.

But it was America who brought up the idea that i was time to get rid of saddam Hussein. It was bush who said if we even find a "smoking gun" we going in. It was Bush who put it into Tony Blair head that war was the only way to get rid of saddam. It was Bush who said Iraq was a "growing dranger". It was bush that said Iraq had “weapons of mass destruction”: did you find any? It was bush that said that Iraq was part of the "Axis of evil". It was Bush who said, "Iraq was the front line on the war against terrorism". It was Bush who said we will "Free" the Iraqis from saddam.

Yeah, Civ. And if I recall, Mr. Blair supported Mr. Bush on this.

And, uh.......not everyone in amercia agrees with bush. He's our political leader, doesn't mean that he is our point-of-view dictator.

We need to stay there now that we have attacked the place. Its in a horrible state at the moment, not to say it wasn't before, and we need to get it on it's feet again.

Civilization, you are the most infuriating person I have ever met. At this forum, at least. Your wording implies that you blame any and every American for the actions of our goverment. Guess what? If Bush was in my hands right now, I would strangle him. I'm an American.
