Re: "Area 51"

I think it is a fact that Area 51 exists, but I dont really believe that they house extraterrestrial stuff there. Maybe just some weird intergalatic stuff that is under investigation.

I dont know where Area 51 would be, but I know Area 51a is in Springfeild. :p

Re: "Area 51"

Do i believe in it? thats a silly question... the us govt. already admitted it was real. There is a fence that goes i think it was something like 100 acres all around it with signs on it that say "cross the fence and you will be shot" and stuff like that. Also i believe they are holding extra terrestrials there. i will let other people talk now

Area fifty-one is in Groom Lake, New Mexico. It's literally an old dried up lake.

Yeah I think they found 5 or so aliens. Two died in a crash and the others lived. Thats what I'm guessing.

Re: "Area 51"

Anyone remember the old Area 51 levels in Perfect Dark for N64? Yeah, they were badass.

Is "Area 51" actually "Area 51"? Most likely no one on these forums will ever know for sure.

Crop circles are proven hoaxes. They actually found a group of guys who did a bunch of them. It was all over the news a few years ago.

Re: "Area 51"

This Area 51?

It certainly exists, but I'm pretty sure (I even have an explanation why) that they are not testing UFO or poking aliens or such. They are, however, testing a lot of next generation aircraft, AD systems, and even an energy-based anti-artillery weapon (yes, it actually works) out there. THAAD is an excellent example of the kind of systems they test. It's all experimental and usually classified as hell, but it is all homegrown equipment.

Usually because we never actually stopped the projects. In a lot of cases, what we test that gets released is what we could get to function properly, and the danger is that even though we failed if they release enough information about our newest experimental equipment someone else won't fail. Quite a bit of it are projects started during the Cold War and we still don't want anyone to know exactly what we have from those.

It's not all that unlikely that someone else could duplicate a system from a few pictures and a paragraph about a systems capabilities. It is, after all, how we managed to get the math behind a stealth aircraft (having taken it from a low security article ina Soviet magazine).

Only a few are actually proven to be hoaxes. Within some, stange happenings accure. The most unusual to me, men have been known to get boners for no apparant reason while inside them.

Re: "Area 51"

An alternative explanation might be that there are simply far fewer "secrets" than people think.

Even in the cases where information is hidden, it's hard enough getting local school boards to commit to full disclosure simply due to the complications in responsibly managing information. I'd like to think that the US Military is a sufficiently complex beast that they can't simply disclose any given piece of content on a whim.

As for "Area 51," I'd actually be alarmed if it didn't exists, or at least facilities like it. Not that I believe the alien silliness, but it only makes sense for the US military to maintain a slew of "secret" facilities.

Re: "Area 51"

Dryth, you basically just said you believe it exists, but it's not for sure. It is most definatly for sure. I've been there, never inside, just outside the fence. A lot of odd stuff goes on there, but everything you see from outside is left unexplained. By saying "aliens silliness", you are basically just spouting about your ignorance. Not that I neccasarily believe in extra-terrestrials having to do with Area fifty-one, (I just might, you will never know), but I bet my life that you have no logical and thorough reason to believe that they don't
