A visit from Miyamoto and Aonuma San

What would you do if Shigeru Miyamoto or Eiji Aonuma joined ZU and became an active member?

I would thank him for creating The Zelda series, ask him a few (few=couple hundred) questions about the timeline, TP, etc. etc. then I would basically leave him alone. If he bacame an active member, I would try to become friedns with him, but not bother him too much, becuase I'm sure he'd have tons of PM's from other people on ZU.

So, basically, I would treat him like any other member.....except, I would worship him.

Asking Miyamoto about the timeline wouldn't do you much good, he doesn't really care about it. You might have better luck with Aonuma.

I would show them my animation and illustration portfolio and ask if I would work for them, then I find themin real life, and I would take one of those aweful "party" photo's, you know the ones in which you have to outstretch your arm and smush your faces togethor in order to fit everone, of course miyamoto would be holding a collasped tripod, because he's crazy like that.

Hmm... well, I don't think I would care too much. Wow, I'm crazy, but I wouldn't care. I would probably just see what he had to say about some of the thread topics.

I'm pretty sure Miyamoto and Aonuma have better things to do then join a Zelda forum. Like maybe run a company or something =P? Plus, Aonuma has a little difficulty speaking in English, let alone writing. I can't learn Japanese overnight! However, I recall Miyamoto speaking English pretty well. So it might work with him. But once again, it will NEVER happen.

IF they joined. I'd ask them if they can hook my up with some sort of backstage pass to Nintendo's staff only closed doors or something. That or extreme details about the Zelda timeline. It won’t happen, so I won’t even think about it.

EDIT: I thought it was the other way around? Hmm. I guess I've only heard interviews between the two. So maybe I got their voices confused? Thanks for the tip MoALttP.

I wouldn't ask Aonuma much other than where he feels the Seal War is placed, if he sees the possibility of there being two wars of the sort, if OoT was intended to be the Seal War, if he really thinks there's two timelines, and how he sees the ending events of OoT unfolding. Oh, and the Legend of the Fairy. I would ask him if that's to be taken seriously or not. So, yeah, not much.

Edit: You have Aonuma and Miyamoto confused. Miyamoto knows English, but he's more comfortable speaking Japanese. Aonuma, however, rarely speaks English, if at all. That's why I don't take quotes so seriously from them, because Japanese and English don't translate perfectly into one another.

I'm quite certain that if you asked the two men behind zelda anything about the timeline like:

"when was the seal war" They would blink, and walk away

"Are their two timelines" Yes and no, there are two endings to OoT however, lets have brunch!

"So how important is the FS saga" Saga? It's just 3 games, but they are very very important because we only made 1/3 of the games.

"So is midna zelda?" *laughter and crying*

"What is your favourtie breakfast food?" eggs and fried hammers

SO yeah, Miyamoto and Aonuma are both insane, and I if they became members of ZU everyone would hate them, because:

1: we wouldn't beleive they are who they say they are

2: They would probably make a bunch of newbie posts like "What was your favourite zelda game?"

It's just a thread about what you would do. Not about the possibility fo them doing it or the ability fo tehir English speaking. Jeez, ya'll people over think things.

Of course I will talk to him about the timeline. Big time. I would show him our timeline and ask what adjustments we can make or if it is Perfect.

On the other hand I would ask Aonuma why he is making the zelda games easier and easier.

I would ask Miyamoto a drawing of Mario autograph, that he could post up on one of the threads, that I can print/download, as well as praising him for his genius in creating all these wonderful franchises. I would ask him about the timeline, which, in the end, will only get me a cryptic response which differs from his previous ones. Heh.

For Aonuma, I would praise him for his wonderous work on the Zelda franchise, and ask him for a drawing of Tingle autograph.

Hmmm...first of all, if they did join, do you think they would tell people who they are? and would you believe them if they did?

I would ask them about time line stuff. I know Miyamoto doesn't really care about it but ha has to have some kind of idea for somethings.

How do you know that they aren't already members?

But really...

I wouldn't bother him really... at all. I mean, it could get really annoying having everyone want to talk to you. He'd have 200 PM's in his inbox every single day.
