Social Hierarchy [labels]

Well were do you think you fit in do you agree with the whole label idea that we all fit into it. I think it gives a lot of people security to know that thier in a "group" of somesort. I think the main ones are

• Chav
• Grunge
• Punk
• Goth
• Emo
• "Rude Boy/Gurl
• Plastic/ The populates (as some like to call)
• The Wannabes

Do you think you fit into anything of them or do you think its just a kind of social thing trying to make you think that popularity is everything.

I don't really understand what you are talking about. Please reword that.

Yeah, I'm sorta confused. You're asking what social groups we think we fit into? I don't see a lot of discussion coming from that, am I missing something?

you have missed out so many of the main social groups like nerds and stoners. there are more, but i am too lazy to think.

I try not to label myself, but I've been accused of being something along the lines of pinko-commie-dirty-hippy. And I can deal with that.

Labels ah that which holds the world together the feeling of belonging that every one must feel to be complete. I used to be filed a grunge, however I see myself more as a mutated hippie, so I'm sota like a hippie but not quite.

Hmm... I've been called goth and emo before, both of which piss me off. I sure as hell am not popular, but it's not quite like I give a ****. What's chav? Whatever. I was also once labeled as grunge. Meh. I try not to fit into any one specific group. People have told me that I can't be labeled, which I take as a compliment. But if you had to put me into one multi-category-plex label, I'd be a... gamer/g33k/nerd/goth/metalhead/emo/stereotypical Asian/punk rocker. I'm not half of those, but whatever.

Hmmmm..... Well, I'v thought about this. I have too many friends to be unpopular, but I'm too nerdy to be popular. So I'm a popular nerd..... I mean, it's not like I'm a jock.... >.> Or a social.... Well, I COULD be a social since I do like to talk during class, but generally it's about video games, something funny, or some sort of insult toward a hopelessly dumb person.... Go me.... Well, I perfer not to be labeled.... Since it's so hard to label me... I'm 100 percent weird though. ^.^

I am the "quiet girl at the back of the class" But if I had to choose a label, I am punk. sometimes. I am also the "smart girl" and the "goody two shoes" Heheh... but I am labeled as a gamer, because I hang out with people that play videogames, and read manga. So I, like Riku's_girl, am 100% weird.

My social label.... hmm... let me ask some people on that... At first glance would be that i'm just an average guitar playin guy. but if you look at my personal life my social label would be somewhat of a nerd, i hang out at my friends house playing fps's all night, paintballing in the morning, and finding random things on the enternet. so that makes me a nerd/average (oh wait, you would also think i'm a soccer player because i wear headbands a lot, but i do play soccer so thats a good thing...)

Well im form england so sorry if i missed out some of the american ones we dont have over here and if you look at the begining it sats i THINK the MAIN ones are:
I would go under the grunge populates as i like rock but then im pretty popular i'm also a gamer so i guess thats kool. I like anime aswell so tha is confuses. This is were i think that the labels fail because thier are caractheristics that make me a grunge the same as thier are that make me popular i think its impossiable to put you into one group ore even 2 or 3. I think the labels are just a way of puttting you down. One of my friends described the labels as "your second race, and the other races are racsit" i dont entirely belive her when she said that, but i think shes just said the truth in a hars metaphor. Labels dont work its hard to put one indivuidual into a label so i guess im just 100%ME

I seriously want a label, because I dont fit any.

Lets see what I am:
-I like all Music styles but I listen mainly to HipHop/Glam Rock and Funk
-I dress Like a Rapper, Surfer, and a Mod
-My Style is Mod, Funk, Fashion
-Socially I am a Ladies Man and Out there
-And my attitude is Perverted
