eyeliner+boy+sports day=gay?

do you think its wrong for a boy to wear eyeliner if its in a rock sense. Like jhony depp and pete BB7 and every over rocker. i dont and i dont think it means your gay. Id liked to hear your views

how does doing anything besides actually being gay, make you gay? You simply wear baby fatt, get some bling, and then be black, you are black or your not.

Wearing eyeliner used to be feminen, but now I'm starting to see a trend in the general "prettyness" of men, well grooomed and such, actually wearing make, like actors do to look well, good.
It's really unfair though, women can buy mens clothes you you'lle really never think twice of it, but the moment a man walks out wearing a skirt, he's signing a death sentence.

Because people hate others being different, and apparently men are supposed to be coarse. Going against stereotypes is scary to people. So they write it off to the nearest possible stereotype: gay. Making the balance of the stereotype world keep on spinning.

Yeah, the "tomboy" has has been around forever, but the "tomgirl" is a scandalous thing stereotyped by the media. It's as if any show on TV today that is about designing has to have a stereotypical gay guy or it's not complete or something.

To me, though, people who dress differently do so because they want to attract attention to themselves. Sometimes they are homosexual, sometimes not. You have to remember not to sterotype. My dad had to do a test one day for collage. It involved him going to the store with a purse. It didn't mean he was gay, but he did get quite a few looks. Why? Because it's not natural.

I never consider Depp's eyeliner in Pirates to be at all "feminine", and instead would categorize it as "hot". Personal female opinion.

Makeup on males isn't unheard of, nor strange. Actors. The whole lot of them wear makeup. I don't see why any other male, straight or gay, can't wear makeup if they want to.

Why would a person go through with all the ridicule and hatred for being a cross dresser just to attract attention? I have a very close friend who his a crossdresser, he does it for comfort, not for attention.

my only fear for this thread, if it moves, is that it will eventually become a "gay is right or wrong" thread, which then involves christianity into the whole hoopla, and well, we've had enough of that for a while, is this thread really fit for serious discuss... yes and no.

Okay, but would you really want to see guys walking around wearing halter-tops, high-heels, and mini-skirts? Or even something more decent, like dresses? That's just creepy... Make-up, I'm fine with, but when they start breaking out the g-strings and spaghetti straps, that's just too far...
I myself have wondered about the whole "tom-boy, tom-girl" thing, however. Men's clothes just don't look all that strange on women, And by men's clothes, I'm talking about tennis shoes, blue-jeans, and t-shirts. And maybe boxers... I have seen girls that wear boxers.


Now, back on topic... eyeliner looks good on guys, it really does. I have gotten crushes on guys that wear eye-liner, I see no problem with it. Even the dark emo-guys that wear black lipstick! It's really cute.

thats only because those clothes were specifically designed for women, but there are clothes, that are considered feminen, that are actually fitted for a more masculine body, and one can never really go too far, there just clothes for petes sake.

I can't think of any types of clothes that are feminine, and look masculine-fitted.

YES!!! I thought the same way!

There are a lot of guys that wear eyeliner, like Billy Joe in Green Day. It's just a trend that guys are taking to nowadays. There's nothing wrong with that. It doesn't make them gay. Yea, a lot of people hate that, and they see them differently, but it doesn't make them different at all. Now, I'm not saying that I don't criticize people, because I do every so often. I think that almost all of us are guilty of that. But back on the subject, Eyeliner is no longer a feminine thing, so people just need to get over it.

Hey, when it come to acting, make-up is fine. (Some people need it! ) But, outside of acting, why else would a guy ware make-up unless he was trying to be different, and why be different unless you want to attract attention to yourself?

To me, make-up on guys and girls wearing boy's clothes is OK. Make-up is like jewelry. You (normally) wear it to make yourself look better (or at least think you do). I myself have worn jewelry of sorts. I'm not getting anything pierced, though, not that it's wrong, it just plain hurts!

If guys want to wear make-up and dress differently, that's OK. It's what going on inside that counts.

I think it's pretty simple, some people can pull of some looks, some people can't.

Of course men can wear eyeliner, on some it will look great, for others they'll just look tragic. Some guys can wear what are considered to be womens clothes and still look good, and some can't.

It really just depends on your body shape. It's true that alot of guys look ridiculous in a holter top, but then again, so do alot of women.

Actually, mens shoes with heels have been supposedly comming into fashion for the past few years, which I think can look really good aswell.



Oh, and for every man who looks 'gay', there's just as many women who look butch.

What makes a man gay is him being in a romantic relationship with another man and being attracted to toher men. Plain and simple. Nothing else defines his sexuality.

Now, if a man has many aspects of a gay man, like feminity(sp?), but doesn't have a sexual attraction to other men, then he is metrosexual.

I don't think it has anything to do with being Gay. People think that because they see people who are really gay wearing that kind of stuff.

It is my personal opinion that the make-up certain Rock/Punk artists wear is not suitable for men. I am not of the belief that they are homosexual, but it just doesn't look good. It's horrific in my eyes.

I would prefer it if men would not use make-up, because I feel it doesn't make them look better like it appears to do on women. It does not fit, simply.

That, to me, is an admission of a double standard: I agree that makeup (in most circumstances) is unnecessary and at times unflattering, but that applies equally to men and to women.

Makeup on anyone can hide his or her natural features, distort how he or she looks, and in many cases detract from his or her appearance, rather than enhance it.
