What Mythical creature would you like to be?

Well seeing that my other thread got locked, again SD gave me this great idea,
What Mythical creature would you like to be? tell me what you want to be and explain why.
I would like to be an elf because i love the pointy ears and they are most Skilled in magic,
heres a few examples to thoses who can't think of a Mythical creature:
Dragon
Hobbit
Orc
Elf
Fairy
Goblin
Human
Wizard
Unicorn
Centaur

Choose wisely.

I'd be a fairy because I have always wanted to know what it felt like to have your own wings and fly. It would just suck to be small.

Captain Cornflake.

i'd want to be an elf also because they have skills in being quick and nimble. they also have great fighting skills (with sword and bow and arrow)

I would most definately be a Phoenix!

I get to live for roughly five hundred years.
They way they die is really cool too - they build themselves a nest of cinnamon twigs that then ignites; and, like you all know - after burning itself, a new Bird rises from the ashes.

I love the way sources describe it, as being akin to a Peacock with vibrant Crimson and Gold plumage, it just looks so graceful and powerful.

Plus, the whole immortality and healing power thing is a cool thing to be able to do.

It's obviously a popular Myth, since it's inspired so many things, most notably the Phoenix for the X-Men, as well as in Literature, where it's depicted performing heroic deed, like cutting off the Witch in Narnia, as it combusted along the ground.

Ah a Centaur i compleatly forgot about that one i'll put that in the list,
now i've remembered about that i would want to be a Centaur or an Elf.

.. Why do you have humans in that list? They aren't mythical. heh heh heh.

Wizard, for the win. Nothing (for me) beats the experimenting with magic. Some control over elements can be mastered (Yay, Golden Sun!)

But if I had to choose something from a game. I'd be an Adept from Golden Sun. It's not a creature really, but a race of humans who has some power over elements called Psynergy.
The games have quite a nice story to them as well.

I wouldn't want to be any of those "mythical creatures", becasue they are too human like. I'd much rather be a hydra, as it would be nearly impossible to kill me. That, or being a Cyclops would be nice.

I'd like to be a dragon. They're very smart, can fly, breathe fire, and the wise ones can talk. Plus you look really awesome!

I would want to be a unicorn because they're pure creatures. They live long lives and are known to only show themselves to the purest of hearts. I want to have the pure white coat of fur and the golden hooves with a matching horn.

I would love to be an Elf. The tall kind. Pointy ears rock! And they have coolio magical skills. Dragons are cool too.

I hate Unicorns. They are Vain.

I would be an elf, pointy ears rock. to tell you the truth Poe Black was orgionally the name of an elf that I made up about four years ago.

Like everyone else said they have magic and It seems like all the best archers in fantasy stories are elves.
