What is your Passion?

Pretty much everyone has something they do that is their special skill - their passion. Perhaps something that makes them feel completely alive when they do it, or they feel they couldn't live without, etc. So my question is: What is YOUR passion? What is it you do that you feel most passionate about doing?

I suppose I'll answer my question to start off. I love drawing. People here may've seen my art, and might notice that it's not that good, but I consider drawing to be my passion. I would really find life hard to live if I couldn't just let myself go through a pencil and paper. If I get into the sync of it, I feel really free, and happy.
That's my story, and now that someone has poured out what they do, it's time for the rest of ya to do the same and share....Go on!

(I apologize for the yellow text, it's for a dare) (Edited by Trico -- Yellow can't be read at all on the white forum skin)

Re: What is your Passion?

My passion is definitively football. I like sports, but I have poor hands and I'm only good with a football. I also like contacts in it, and that there is 2 leagues to watch at the same time on tv: The CFL (Canadian football league) and NFL (National football league), but NFL is definitively better. I also like computer programming and movies, but football surely comes first place.

My passion? Probably playing video games, mainly OoT. Jumping on the trampoline, too, but my sis hardly ever goes out there so I usually just stay in.

Re: What is your Passion?

My passion is fighting. I really like martial arts. I am in muay Thai kickboxing and Brazilian jujitsu. I'm not much of a street fighter because I believe fighting belongs in the ring, not the streets. Once you reach a certain level of skill, street brawlers are just like taking candy from a baby. However, I have a long way to go. I need my wrestling to get a little better and my striking and submissions aren't the best. I still have bad habits, but I'm getting much better. I was supposed to have my first kickboxing bout last month, but ended up not. Maybe it was for the best, but I was ready then and I'm even more ready now.

Re: What is your Passion?

Good idea for a thread, KKT. =)

Edit: Brian. Brian. And BRIAN. XD A.K.A. Luke Groundwalker. He's awesome.

I have two, I guess. Because I can't live with out both of them. Dancing and listening to music. Dancing is a gorgeous art if done right, and is fun to do. And music just straight out rocks. It's fun to discover new songs and look up lyrics, try to determine their meanings, etc. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 I have more, I guess, too, but those are the ones that mean the most to me (excluding a couple other things).

Re: What is your Passion?

Oh this is an easy one.

My passion is definetly...drumming. To me it's one of the most entertaining things in life (yes more than videogames ) In school I participate in all of the instrumental drum organizations I can. I try to learn every type of drumming possible, and refine in all the key techniques I need to learn to be great. I put so much effort into my drumming, that you could probably call it an obsession. =\

Re: What is your Passion?

Damn... I have too many passions, so to speak...

Alrighty, at the top of the list has to be these...

Tennis.
I'm big into my tennis and play an average of four days a week. I just love going out on to a court and smacking a ball around. The sensation that you get when you're chasing every thing down and just hitting the ball perfectly is unbelieveable. It's also so exciting watching two class players playing, Nadal and Federer in the Roland Garros last weekend for example.

Art.
I simply love all types of art and can spend hours on end working through a piece and still not be happy with it, only stopping once it's perfect. I love that feeling when you finish a piece that you're simply in awe of.

Rugby.
Running into people and knocking them over, what's not to love?

Running.
I simply love that feeling when your tearing down a track at full pace, the wind running through your hair.

And finally, Literature.
It's the artist in me that loves literature. It just feels great to create masterpieces with your imagination and watch them slowly form into beautiful pieces of writing. I also love poetry, I don't write much but I love reading through good poems, W.B Yeats' "The Second Coming" and Wilfred Owen's "Dulce et Decorum est" just to name a few. I'm a big fan of Shakespeare as well.

What can I say? I'm a passionate guy...

Re: What is your Passion?

I was born with the passion to draw... Or rather, the passion to make something. The feelings I get when thoughts come to mind are so powerful, and it takes a good bit of concentration to effectively illustrate that on paper the way it is set in my mind.

I also have a passion for the martial arts. I am fairly new to it, going on a year in a few months, but I'm totally hooked. No matter what I learn, no matter how much I progress, there is constant polishing awaiting me to practice at its terms. I am, by no means special at this art, but that's where the passion comes in... My love for it produces my own improvements.

Re: What is your Passion?

My passion? Sports. And girls. To be honest, I'm a perv. Meh, puberty does that to you.

For sports, I play soccer or, as they say it in everywhere else, football. I practice everyday I can, and I tryout for the travel team every year.

Re: What is your Passion?

Tennis, although for some reason I haven't been able to play it as much over the summer ... I just don't have that oppurtunity anymore, due to certain circumstances. I really hope to get back into it though ... it makes me sick to realize I haven't played in weeks. ;____; I think I'm just giong through a phase maybe...

But I'll always like running, I run long distances and have been doing so for quite some time. ^_^ And I draw alot too, as much as I can. I've recently started karate and enjoy that as well.

But truthfully, my passion ... well, aside from drawing, is just living I suppose. There's a difference between existing, and living in my book.

Re: What is your Passion?

Music is one of my main passions. Listening to it, or playing it, I simply adore music. It's also a real good boredom killer.

My 2nd passion, and my main carrear opportunity, is architecture. Since I can't draw worth a damn, I usually build models of buildings and cities out of Lego buildings. I also do a lot of reading on famous buildings, not to mention look at pictures of them and try to think of a simpler way of making the building.

Re: What is your Passion?

My passion is living. Now, I am being serious. Life is something I can't live without; it's something I am fascinated about and, at the same time, a bit scared of. Life is confusing, unfair, and can push a human being to the breaking point. I love living, but, occasionally, I hate it. But we all have that with our passions, don't we? I am sure sometimes Marvelman might not want to drum, whether the reason be because he is having trouble getting down a beat, or one that is personally related, is unknown to us. We all love our family, our friends, and ourselves, well, for the most part, but sometimes we hate them too. But hell, that's life.

Re: What is your Passion?

My true passion is Speed. Hence why I am an Alpine Racer (Speed [SG,DH] Specialist) and I'm pursuing my level 2 RallySport License ... Speed is my life, I live by its rules and its consequences. There is no such feeling as barreling down an icy pitch hanging on for dear life, arcing a turn with 7 foot boards that are 60 mm wide desperately trying to make up speed when your already flying at 160 clicks... Unlike what you might think it actually is really smooth when you get used to it and are trained to endure the speed. Taking an airbump is almost more fun, it happens so fast but it feels like your in the air forever ahh there is no substitute for a Downhill race.

Re: What is your Passion?

My passion is computer software. Whenever I program or create a web page, something inside me clicks, I really enjoy it. The tedious lines of code seem boring (and they are at times), but I can work with them and feel at home. It makes me feel like a freak sometimes, but I love it. Its definatley what I want to do with the rest of my life.
