Superhero Deathmatches

Okay, I hope this hasn't been done before. Anyways, I'm a pretty big comic/superhero fan, and I've always wondered who would win if two of some of my favorite superheroes were teamed up.

So this topic is for matching up two heroes or villians from anything, and then everyone can post who they think would win in a...deathmatch. I guess I'll start it off.

Batman vs. Captain America

Right now I'm still not sure who would win, so I'll post my bit later.

Even though I favor Batman much more...statistically Captain America would walk all over Batman. I mean, he's a super-enhanced human, has an indestructable shield, and isn't a stranger to fighting. Then again, if it was in the dark...the battle may sway alittle more towards Batman. So...I'm giving it to Cap. America.

Yeah, I'm actually more of a fan of Batman than Cap. America also. I wasn't sure about this one cause I knew Batman was pretty much a strategical-fighting genius, but Cap. America is great at fighting too.

That's the one thing I don't like about Batman, he doesn't have any superpowers, so I can't really compare him in the same way to other superheroes. Don't get me wrong, he's definetly one of the best superheroes, it just sucks comparing him to the supes with powers.

So, uh...I guess I'll go with Cap. America too--except like you said, if Batman was in a darker place, he'd probably be able to outsmart Cap. America.

I'll have to go with C. America aswell, he's just as good at fighting and he's a super human basically. Unless Batman was in his jet or something, he would lose.

I'd have to say Batman he just seems smarter and has alot of tools plus cm just caries around a shield I'd say if batman can hold his own against spawn then he'l easily take down cm.

...and I thought this thread died. Well, I guess I'll start a new match-up then. =)

How about: HULK vs. Superman ?

I think Superman would win. Not only are his powers more powerful than the HULK's (IMO), but I think the HULK can't really think as...well when he's the HULK. So I feel like with all of Superman's powers combined with the amount of wit he has, he could beat Superman.

Hm, Superman vs the Hulk huh?

Well, obviously, Superman will win, but not before a good beating. Remember, usually, the Hulk gets angrier after each successful attack against him, which, usually makes him somewhat stronger. He'll probably match Superman's strength, but the rest of Superman's powers would be Hulk's downfall.

Okay, as for the first matchup, Batman would so take Captain America. Why, you ask? When you compare the two, Captain America is slow. Big deal, he's got a shield that he can throw, some enhanced strength, and a tight costume. Batman doesn't need any superpowers or strength to win in a fight. Heck, his awsomeness alone would cripple most challengers.

As for Superman versus Hulk, although I'm sure many will argue, Superman would win. Hulk's stronger under normal circumstances, if I'm not mistaken, but Superman's got more things going for him. Super speed, for one. Heat vision, if you wish to add to the list. And then he can fly. Add that together with a body harder than diamond and enough strength to life a train, and you get a Hulk squashing machine.

Points go to whoever can tell me what Captain America's shield is made of without searching, though. It's an alloy, if that helps.

Aerixeth, I really wanna argue with you about Captain America and Batman. But I have a bad feeling I'll lose.

I know it wouldn't be a complete crush, but I knew Superman's other powers would probably get the HULK in the end. I don't know much about Superman and the extent of all his powers, but I know with the variety he has he could find some way to beat the HULK without relying on his strength. And don't underestimate the HULK's durability either. In durability and strength I agree with insaney, that they're matched. But with Superman's other powers and his intelligence, I think he's the victor.

And crap. All I know about Cap's sheild is that it's indestructable. So I'm gonna guess adamantium?
