The Governator

How do you guys feel about arnold becoming governor of california. I live there, so i think it's funny but i'm not sure what to expect of him. He seems like he's a lot more image than he is substance.

I live in California to, and I must say that I am distressed. Davis wasn't the best, but Arnold is just plain dumb. His wacky and groundless proposals for no tax raises and summoning multi-billions with help of education and helth cuts are very strange. My opinion, he had better do good, or else.

Although, it would be sardonically funny if he screws us over further, and we will be able to turn this back at him with some variation of "We told ya so."

Oh well. Only time will tell.

actually- arnold is pretty bright... knows about 4 or 5 languages, ran some movie industries and made millions... also - he wouldnt be doing all the decision making (he hires advisors) and personally, i think that he will hire mcclintock as one of his advisors because his plans would have actually worked.

I'm not much of a polotics person, but as for Arnold being governor of California, I don't see anything wrong with it. Although, my opinion might be different if I lived in Cali and not Wisconsin. Ehh...oh well. Even with his occasional "can't understand a word your saying" moments, he's seems to fit a bill alright.

I was shocked when I turned off my PS2 to find Arnold celbrating on channel 3 (which is our local news) Im not sure whats gonna happen, only time will tell I suppose. He seems to know what he's doing, but that doesnt mean a thing, he HAS to know what hes doing.

HE hates immigrants? Im not one of these people (I have many hispanic freinds), but its like, almost everyone in the border states who hates illegals. I see it all the time at school. Its a shame....thats why Davis got recalled, for supporting rights to them. Arnold probably just wants support, obviously by NOT doing what Davis did.

I dont think he raped or malested those women.
Davis was rubbish he made Calfornia a little bit worse than it was.
He knows what he is doing. And i wish him luck!

I have a rather good thesis (actually a speech I gave last weekend for debate) on California's politics...but I don't have time to write it right now. So I will post it later.

I'm glad he's governor, even though I'm on the other side of the Nation I think he'll do a great job as governor.

And with him as governor, we're gonna have a new star for the Predator.........THE ROCK!!! ^_^

Besides I don't think we are talking about the same thingO.o

Though I can make no future predicitions, I think its good to consider both sides of the argument.

Some members think he won't do a good job for many reasons, but most of these reasons relate to behaviour. They don't realte to the way he thinks, how he deals with issues etc...

On the other hand, those who think he's a good have made some pretty good points relating to thier views.

what i'd like to say is.....though arnold has ran a few movie industries as Watermelontrout said is....there's a big difference between running a movie industry and a whole state, In my personal view, I see Arnold as a person who didn't spend a great deal of his life mixing around with people who know how to be leaders, how to run projects (in this case: a state), he spent some of his life in the army, a large section in buidling his body :S. I not making any specific points, but would Arnold last without advisors?

I think it is great that he is governer. He might be inexperianced but he is smart. BTW, why do you all call Arnold "disgusting" and "rascist" Yah, thats it, he is such a real bad guy, but people like Bill Clinton and all the other people involved in politics arent mean, rascist, or stab each other in the back..........who them? Never 0_0

Alot of the resentment I hold towards Arnold comes from alot of the stuff he did in his campain. He practically took nothing seriesly, and just alluded to his standard character. Examples are like when he said that he would terminate the tax defecit, which he actually did, telling Ariana Huffington that he had a perfect part for her in Terminator 4, and when he crushed a car with a wrecking ball to demonstrate how he was going to eliminate California's problems.

At the moment, even though I live there, I frankly don't care. If he does a good job as governer, then more power to us and to him. If he screws it up further, then he will probably be ruined for the rest of his life. Win win. :p

all the ppl who were running for governor sucked so i could care less that he is governor, he will probably just have advisors telling him what to do so why bother?

i think that everyone is such a sheep for voting for him. honestly, do you think he will be competent governor. he is not qualified for the job, and am really depressed that he will be in office AND representing the republican party. he will give us a bad name when he fails at his job and he drives california further into the ground

I personally he is a bit thick so i don't think he would be a good governer. Arnie just stick to movies.
