Cool Homecoming Weekends

It's that time of year that all the schools are having there bg homeocming weekend. Maybe you had yours already even. I know homecoming for me is tommorow. Even though the party started today with one of our classic amazing Pep rallies. Tommorow is the actual day, our football teem plays a good school from Brooklyn and our soccer team the number one ranked school in the country. The games should be amazing. I can't wait.

So when was your homecoming, when will it be? If you don't have them anymopre how were they? How did your teams fair against the opposition?

Re: Homecoming Weekends

Our homecomming was last week. Close football game that came down to an attempt at a 2-point conversion, which was prevented, and we won.

Re: Homecoming Weekends

We had a HC pep rally today and I think the actual homecoming is next week....friday I think. Not something I care to much about. I dont really have school spirit or any interest in football. Perhaps if it were a better school I may show pride, but our place has been vandalized and has the worst test scores, just not a place Im "proud" to be at.

Re: Homecoming Weekends

I actually go to a school that maes it so i couldn't be happier anywhere else. Evne things liek pep rallys kick some major ass. For example a pumpkin was thrown on cynder block a sledgehammer was taken to a watermelon with a face drawn on it and on the top of a dummy with a t-shrt drawn on to look ike the football teams opponents jersey, a gradutate from last year came back from Boston College for the weekend and read a 'top ten' list there, Smoke on the Water was played among other rock songs, a teacher freestyle rapped, people were carried into the gym on boxes, and a kid slid across the gym only wearing bicycle shorts. If that doesn't instill school spirit nothing can.

Plus we take tremendous pride in all our sports. But the peprally and free T-shirt is what really does it.

Of course it is I mean what else is there to pep rallies besides destroying fruit and freestyle rap.? Nah your actually right there, typical Delbarton attitude, but it's not like anyone wouldn't want that stuff. Amazingly we have had better.

We got to get pumped up for tommorow hough, St. Benedicts in soccer and Poly Prep for football. It's gonna be crazy!!!! All except the T-Shirts from 7th grade were better, they had a better shade of green and said green on the front these say superfan on the back, decivingly liek last years.....

Re: Homecoming Weekends

All you and your fancy dances =\ I don't have any homecoming dance really it would be just about the most unorganizeable dance ever. If you even go with anyine you jsut bring tem to the gamaes and the party part of homecoming, that apparently suffices for us.

Plus were would we get all the green face paint off before the dance? That has to be the greatest part of homeocoming the giant 'Brave Hearts" down hills, complete with makeshift kilts and sticks. And maybe a horse this year 0.o

Re: Homecoming Weekends

I never bother with stupid school stuff like Homecoming. Unless I have to for marching band. However, all the cheerleaders have to dress up like goths and nerds the day before, which is always worth a laugh.

Re: Homecoming Weekends

Well now that ZU finally decided to work i can describe the actual day.

First it was raining all morning but i still wen tbecause the games are to big to be missed. First at 11:00 am there was the soccer game against the number one ranked school in the country. Last time they played us they were a lot better, this time they did not even phase our team. THe final score was 1-0 on a penalty kick, we stormed the field after that because there was 13:34 left in the game. Then the game ended and everyone was on the field big celebration of it all day long.

Then we all ate and that was good especially because we just got to eat whatever people brought good stuff. Then the football game, we did not fair as well as most hoped, final score a loss 10-19. Better then all predictions fo it, but the refs made bad calls on Pass interference, an interception and when a kid from the other team punched someone on ours. Note that interference calls were bad for both teams.

Overall the day was good, more pumpkins were smashed, mud covered most stuff and there was ahuge upset for soccer.

Hope everyone else that didn't already say their's sucks/ed has a good one.
