They can't just go and change a thing like that. It's cultural and in-bred.

The 7 wonders is such a set thing, it can't be changed easily. One website won't be enough. And I don't really approve of people try to do so.

I approve of cultural awareness and such, but doing a sort of spin-of of an old established thing.

I don't even know that the existing 7 Wonders are. I know the Great Wall of China, Pyramids and Great Barrier Reef are among them, but that's it. Personally, I agree with Erik; we should keep the ones we've got.

None of the things you all are posting are really wonders (minus stonehenge, pyramids of giza and the well.. thats it). The eiffel tower? We already know about that, now i think we have a wonderful list right now. Those really are wonders that are the first of their kind and by ancient people are a magnificant feat no less for them and for us.

The list shalt stand. Ye wish to change thou list, thou shalt not!

I havent been around much.... I've pretty much been stuck in the same neighborhood my whole life. The coolest thing I've ever seen near my town is probably Balboa Park, San Diego, but not much of a world wonder. I have been to NE, and I saw the statue of liberty, got to go to the top of the empire state building, and oh yeah, Boston rules. I'm going to Spain and France in two months, I'll get to see the Eiffel Tower, the Great Mosqe, and ride a train (The ones at Disneyland don't count!). Other than that, I'm stuck in boringsville.

Absolutely! I'm going to Romania next year, hopefully, to do the Vampire Tours .

I think we should keep the list as it is though... they're the 7 wonders, they can't be changed!

Actually, there is only one Wonder left, the Pyramids. The Great Wall was never a Wonder (But only because the creators of the World Wonders only recorded Wonders that were around the Middle East.. Or so I've heard on the news.)

Thats why I think the Great Wall should be one of the next world wonders. I think its a good idea to do something like this again, since it has been thousands of years ago since the last Wonders were recorded, and only one is left...I mean what use is it to talk about the GREAT World Wonders, if they all have been destroyed, besides one?? I say we keep the one that is left now (Pyramids) and make a new, official list.

The World Wonders WERE:

* The Hanging Gardens of Babylon
* The Temple of Artemis at Ephesus
* The Statue of Zeus at Olympia
* The Mausoleum at Halicarnassus
* The Colossus of Rhodes
* The Pharos of Alexandria

In my opinion, the new World Wonders should be:

* The Colosseum at Rome
* The Eiffel Tower
* The Great Wall
* Stonehenge
* Taj Mahal
* Pyramids
* The Chichen Itza of the Aztecs

I don't think it's a question of replacing the current 7 wonders with 7 new ones, is it? Isn't it just adding 7 new wonders?

I read about this page in a newspaper, seems to me like a serious project. I's not swindle..

Hmm. I think it this is just to name 7 new wonders, like Mrs Ganondorf states.... I think. :/

Anyway, all the choices are spectacular in each own reguard... choosing 7 was way too hard for me to do. But I did it, and this is what makes my list:
