Lego EXO-FORCE

It seems as if Lego has gone anime on us. These look suspicously like Gundam Seed or something along the lines of that.

Sheesh, Lego is pretty ridiculous these days. You can't do anything with the sets except follow the manual. I prefered it when you could do your own things with the sets.

LOL, looks like total crap. I can't wait to see how bad it will get.

Looks like a Bionicle rip-off...and I agree with Master K, lego should stop being about following the manual and leave it all up to the persons imagination.

Legos, what has happened? The days of actual legos are gone, and it makes me very sad on the inside. Now they are nothing but large chunks of plastic with some assembly required. Building them is now more of a chore than a creative journey. I remember when legos used to be the one plastic product that really allowed room for creativity, and now they've become what used to be their inferior competition.

I ahve 6 bins full of the old school lego bricks, and 2 full with the newer lego mindstorms (lego robotics invention system). I love legos, always building and creating, best invention of mankind (lol). But lately they have become ridiculous. I got all of the first Bionicals, dismantelyed them, combined them with lego robotics inventions system 1.0, and made a moving 4 leged walker (one of my first inventions). I bought one of the nexy bionicals, and than it jsut got ridicuous, disks, multiply joints, there arn't even gears anymore. Like mini said, jsut chunks of plasitc that you put together, most don't even have STUDS anymroe!!!! The very thign that defins lego!!!! I'm bringing up my younger cousin on the old stuff, and yes, LEGOS have become aimed towards the asain contries, mainly anime. They still sell the old sets, they just don't have the majic they used to have.

When Ole Kirk Christainsen, and his son begain creating LEGOS, they were given 3 coats of paint. One time his son only gave a batch 2 coats, Ole immediately called a recal and made his son hand paint the third coat.

Nowadays, I get lego sets with missing peices, chipped parts, bent, some diformed, and sometimes broken! The lego company has losted is lust, and I for one know it. My legos from 1996 have lasted this long without so much as a dim in paint, but my 2004 ones are already showing signs of wear. LEGO has lost its innovation, and care for their customers that Ole set-up, even the name (devolped in 1934) is a combination of the Danish words "Play" and "Well", which are "LEg" and "GOdt" respectivally.

The "Stude and Tube" was devoloped in 1958,m and is what legos are known for, but if you look at the legos now, barely any feature this age old icon.

My point, LEGO has lost its touch, and is straying away from the ideas devolped by Ole Kirk Christiansen.

I remember the days when it was just good ol' Classic & Technic. I liked Bionicle, but they're just going too far. I miss the olden days. I doubt that Ole Kirk Christiansen would approve.

Lego does make diffrent "Creator" sets that where you can build whatever you like. They just give you an "idea book" with many building instructions. These are the perfect sets for people who like to use their imagination and not just follow the manual.
