Dream Pain and other weird dream experiences

I did. Last night I dreamed I was walking in a forest and I stepped on a toadstool. Then on the bottom of my big toe, a huge wart began to grow at super speed, it grew flat and black to about the size of a quarter then began to shrivel and sink into my toe leaving a great deep hole there. And the feeling I got was one of actual physical pain in a dream! Then I woke up and it quickly went away of course. I guess it goes to show how much physical pain is also mental. Like if you cut yourself and don't realise it, once you notice the cut it suddenly starts to hurt.

I've also had dreams that I've realised were dreams while I was in the dream. I did some really reckless things like alligator wrestle because I knew that there'd be no consequences.

Tell me your weird dream stuff!

Re: Dream Pain and other weird dream experiences

Hmmm yes its called a lucid dream. I have them all the time. In fact I never have dreams in which i dont know its a dream anymore. In my dreams Im often trying to escape the dream world or Im trying to stay there. Well actually some of my dreams arent lucid but those are rare. In those I never act recklessly because its like real life. whenever Im having a lucid dream I have a tendency to act very recklessly. I kill people, I drink , I steal etc...

Meh anyway...

Re: Dream Pain and other weird dream experiences

I tend to have a lot of dreams that involve falling of a building, or a cliff, or something like that. When that happens, you always wake up, and it feels like you literally fell and landed in your bed. It's very wierd, but I'm sure others have had dreams like that too.

I also get dreams where you want to say something really important, but when you try, your mouth will not open. Or, you want to get somewhere, or get away from something, and you try to run, but your body does not move no matter how fast you move your legs. I hate dreams like that, they are frustrating, and those are the dreams that I tend to wake up and find myself sweating profusely.

This has happened to me. About 7 or 8 years ago, I'd have dreams where I realized I was in a dream, and yelled aloud (in the dream) for someone to "let me out". I don't know why I yelled this in my dream, they weren't nightmares or anything. They weren't scary at all. But I do remember that after I'd yell that, everyone in my dream would stare at me.

Re: Dream Pain and other weird dream experiences

I've had dreams like that. But not pain ones. I've had ones were i can feel things. For example:
One night i had a dream where i hugged a girl that i'm in love with(well who doesnt have dreams like that!?) and i could feel it, it felt amazing, hard to explain, but i felt all warm, and light and tingly, when i woke up i felt refreshed and it was...REALLY COOL.
Well another dream was where that same girl was in it, and er... i wont say what the dream was about...*ahem* ...anyways, in this dream i was moving around alot.. :embrsd: ... but i had obviously moved around alot in real life too cause when i woke up a shelf of my bookcase had collapsed and books were everywhere...i wonder how that happened ...good dream though

Re: Dream Pain and other weird dream experiences

I had a really weird dream the other day...

BUT don't feel like saying it. ^_^

It was totally untrue, though, considering my brother has a {GIRLfriend and not a...

um...yes.

But I had another dream where Amy Lee gave me a cookie. Yes, that was a cool dream. If I remember correctly, I think I was also playing with Evanescence. (Amy Lee=evanescence's singer, in case you didn't know.)

Re: Dream Pain and other weird dream experiences

I've had fever dreams before. One involved ZU, strangely.

I was browsing around on ZU and I had noticed a new board called, 'Shut Up' by SearanoX. I clicked on it and I vaugley noticed it had threads by some members I didn't like. Another one of these strange dreams I've had was one where I had some strange flashlight mechanisim that crushed clams. Suddenly, it had gotten pitch black and I used the strange device as an actual flashlight and I had noticed I was on the street I live on and I was standing next to a pile of junk where the car dealers lot was. I had then got a fleeting moment of being in a speeding car being chased by zombies and it was like, '28 Days Later' in a sense.

Re: Dream Pain and other weird dream experiences

I remember one time in particular when I was dreaming about flying over a huge, grassy plain with tones of hills. I was with a group of my friends and we were all flying in V formation close to the ground. Then we came to a hill and began to rise up with the hill. Then, when we reached the top of the hill, we went soaring up into the air and I could actually feel as though my body was lifting up. Soon after we were flying up, we began to fall, and I got this absolutely horrible feeling as if my stomach was in my throat and I forced myself to wake up because I couldn't stand it. It was the weirdest thing I had ever felt. Dreams intrigue me because no one really knows anything about them or how they work. I have noticed one thing though. Say in a dream, you're being chased by a murderer. You trip and fall and he is about to stab you, when his knife comes just intact with you and you wake up; that's what always happens to me at least. I think your body wakes up when you are about to die because it has no way of knowing what happens afterwards and therefore won't let you; that's what I think at least.

That happens to me all the time, but most of the time when I try to talk, my mouth will open but if I try to speak I won't be able to or I will whisper it and I can actually feel myself saying it when I'm sleeping. Also, according to my friend I have spoken in my sleep and I had no idea about it; it's very weird.

Re: Dream Pain and other weird dream experiences

um, sometimes my body paralizes when I'm falling asleep. I can't move my body and I'm awake It's scary. Then once that happened and I slowley fell asleep, the room turned into a jungle like room, with the T.V made of bambb, ect. Really wierd! Then I slid off the couch and layed on a tiger's fur.

I'm probably the only person here who forgets most their dreams. I know for a fact that I dream almost every night, but I only remember parts of it when I wake up and after a few hours I usually completely forget it entirely. =(

I think a lot of people forget their dreams. I'll wake up from a really weird one and remember every detail I could tell my friends, but then I'll get up and forget it after probably an hour or so. Strange...

Yes. It happens all the time. I'm falling...falling...falling...then I'm in my bed and scared as hell. I also have nightmares that, in retrospect, don't seem that scary.

Like this one, for instance;

I used to live in Rhode Island. There, I was grocery shopping. My dad said he'd find a parking spot, so me, my mom, and my evil little brother went into the supermarket. When we came out, I was the first one to cross the street. Next thing I know, my dad was hurtling towards me! Right when he hit me, I woke up. Ouch.

Also, there's this one. I was sitting at lunch with this cute girl. We were about to kiss, when her eyes turned yellow, her teeth became sharp, her mouth opened very wide, and everything became dark. She leaned toward me, snarling, mouth agape, and then I woke up.

Oh, and for me, my dreams are like videotapes. I don't have control; I watch the world from my eyes, but with no control. Is that weird?

Re: Dream Pain and other weird dream experiences

Meh. I always hate my crazy dreams. I remember one of them ended up turning into a nightmare but I won't give too much detail... My parents and I had moved up to New York (I forgot the name of one of the country side places >.< ). And so I went to the school my ex went to and a lot of weird and bad things happened. When I woke up I found my face and pillow wet from most likely tears. 0_o

Another one of my weird dreams was when I was in my art1 class. I was drawing and since sometimes my art teacher would have our protfoilo's out to show off one piece of our art works; and then one of my fellow classmates (forgot who) had taken a perminte marker and took out one of my drawings and scribbled on it and I had to redo the WHOLE project . And the projects we do are major ones that take days to draw. O_o

There you have it... two of GoI's strange dreams... <_< >_>

Re: Dream Pain and other weird dream experiences

I have dreams where I become handicapped when in danger. I try to shout for help, but I'm mute and for some reason can't even attempt to make a sound. Another time I was being chased by tigers, and I suddenly couldn't run normally anymore, leaving myself running around in slow motion. I eventually found out the tigers were people in costumes though.

I'm a big dreamer and I've dreamt every kind of dream there is. I remember my dreams almost all the time.

It is not peculiar at all. I for one have dreams like this all the time, and I don't really like it. I have no control whatsoever, so everytime I dream I feel like it's the first time for everything - so I fall for everything in the dream. I think it's true until I actually wake up and slowly realize it was just a dream.

Has anyone ever experienced the following: You wake up, but your mind is dreaming, in a way. Here's an example, to make you understand: I wake up, and my alarm clock is making its scheduled noise. But I don't realize that's where the sound is coming from, so I actually think it's a dog barking, because in my dream a dog started barking as if the alarm sound was coming from his very voice. I actually believe this is the case for 3-7 seconds before I realize I was just having a dream and everything is back to normal.

Very complicated, and quite long... sorry, but I have a lot to say.

I dreamt I was killed by thugs. Kinda strange. After I was "killed" I woke up, at 4am. I have no idea what it means.

Take a huge amount of drugs, preferably opium or marijuana. Then pass out. The dream you have while you're still on those drugs... that's a lucid dream.
