This is scary.

Yesterday at school, someone at my school was in the bathroom. They went into the stall and found some writing on the stall. The writing was written poem like, this is what it said:

November 15, 2005,
2:30 PM,
Guns will be brought,
Students and Staff will be killed.

We got a notice about this. I am really freaked out.
I'm guessing this might be something like Colunbine (Spelling) or it could be all a joke.

Re: Something might happen..

Yikes, I would freak if I found that note. I'd say get them to close school on the 15th, or maybe that's the point of the whole thing. Just to threaten the teachers to make them cancel school. Of course, would anyone at your school even have access to a gun in the first place? That's still pretty scary though...

Re: Something might happen..

School will be in session. Just the police will be there, and if they see anyone suspicious there will be a lockdown.

Re: Something might happen..

Hmm, okay. Of course, police are still human, I don't see what they could do to stop shooting other than start shooting themselves.

Meh, you're lucky. At your school, something goes wrong and they tell you what happened. At our school, they tell us something's wrong and say nothing about what actually happened. On 9/11, they kept everyone cooped up in the gym while parents came and took us home one by one. A few weeks ago, 3 guys broke into my friend's house and they just made the whole situation worse because they kept us waiting at least 10-20 minutes late in our last class, where we annoyed the hell out of our sience teacher while making up all these random stories. You're lucky that they let you know what happened.

Anyways, I hope that nothing happens. Let us know what happens, I want to see replies from you after the 15th. See you then, and just don't panic.

Re: Something might happen..

the problem with a situation like this is that, if there are students who plan to shoot up the school, being students, they could possibly know that school wont be in session, and plan their mercy-less killings for another day, which sucks.

Re: Something might happen..

I dont know whether to say that this plan would be carried out or not, but I, being exceptionally paranoid about things like this, would come to school with a bullet proof vest on that day. I would be morbidly disturbed by this if I had seen it...

Re: Something might happen..

It's time for schools to issue student-based body armors that can stop standard bullets. I mean... it's very odd to see all these school shootings. Environmental factors along with stress from relationships and work can really put some negative influences on people. And you know, this trend will not disappear. Society becomes more and more competitive and more people with psychological impacts would appear.

But before anyone starts, video games are not the only things that can influence a kid to start shooting people (which still hasn't been proven that video games contribute to school shootings).

Re: Something might happen..

Actually, there have been a few cases here, and in Japan of people killing their peers/parents and they said they learned how from GTA.

Anyway, about that thing written on the stall, it sounds like something straight out of Naustradamus' (sp?) prophecies lol. Nonetheless, it would freak the crap outta me...

Re: Something might happen..

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Most of the time these threats are jokes or kids trying to get school canceled. In fact there was a bomb threat today at my school. Just some kids playing a joke probably. You shouldn't be scared though. The only thing you need to fear is fear itself.

Re: Something might happen..

Reminds me my friend got pissed drunk and called the school board for our county and said there was a bomb in one of the schools and the only way to find out which one was when it explodes. He got expelled from all schools in that county.

Re: Something might happen..

Just stay close to teachers, stay in a group, make sure that you tell everyone that you know, and wear bullet proof armour (jk). Wouoldn't the administrationj be able to see who went in and out of the bathroom at that given day, in my school we have video cameras everywhere!

Try not to get too worried up. Most threats like that never happen. It still pisses me off that some people are stupid enough to do stuff like that. = \

Re: Something might happen..

Wow, we never had actualy threats written on the walls when I was at highschool...now I sound like an old person, heh.
I suppose all you could do is to stick close to teachers that day. Or even stay home that day if you're that paranoid about it.

If it were me, I'd start taking some martial arts classes right this second.(Not really, I'd stay home ).
I guess a smart thing to do would stay home, or, like others have said, stick together. And don't forget your religon, whatever it may be.

Re: Something might happen..

Don't get too worked up about it. It could be just a cunning yet harmless
prank. But hey, who knows? I suggest that you just watch your back while
in school and if you hear any gunshots fired...run for the exit as fast as you
can and high leg it uot of there.

And such is just a way of excuse to not get a death sentence in Japan.

"Oh, I killed these people because I felt like it- I mean, no, GTA influenced me! Yeah! I didn't want to kill them (BS), but the game made me do it!"

A game does not judge one's actions. Only the thoughts judge one's actions. Therefore, if they can think, they can choose. Since they choose to kill, that doesn't mean the game directly influenced them. And so far, like I said before, no studies have, and can, prove that games can influence a teen into mass-killing.

Think about it, would any parents want to admit that their kids just want to kill people for fun? No. Therefore, video games are used as a scapegoat. "They didn't want to do it. But it's these blasted GTA games! I'm SURE my son or daughter is innocent!"
