Good Sigs

Ok.

What qualities in a sig do you want to see?
What are the charictaristis of a good sig?
Does a good sig need alot of flashy effects to be good?
What do you define as a good sig.

I personally believe that sigs dont have to be super flashy.

Re: Good Sigs

Hmm....what exactly do you mean by 'super flashy'? I have a pretty good idea what a good sig looks like and what a horrible one looks like. It's the overall feel of the sig. The background, pictures (if any), contrast, colors, how the text is arranged, etc. I know when I make a good sig and I know when I make a mediocre sig. You kind of have a feeling when you finish it. It usually depends on the amount of effort that is put into a particular sig.

So basiclly, good sigs look good and bad ones look bad

Re: Good Sigs

I've always approached signatures like graphics with video games. I like signatures that stand out for some particular reasons. A signature that doesn't look like anyone else's, whether in shape, color, or message. Realism is nice, yeah, but isn't really the most important part. Some signatures, like Evil Tomato's, for example, don't look beautiful and realistic but is still a kick-ass siggie.

I'm not sure that this thread should exist, but I am sure that it shouldn't be here. Request move to signature forums.

Re: Good Sigs

They don't have to be flashy. It's originality that counts. It's just something that's unique so that people simply associate the picture with the person.

Re: Good Sigs

A rule for a good sig is not to have any white through it's background, a good sig just needs to look nice, if you put too many effects in then you won't be able to see anything in the sig.

Re: Good Sigs

A good signature is all in the eye of the beholder.....
As long as it looks good to you, and is within the limits for the signature rules, everything is good.
Good good good.
