The Double-Dotted "i"

I don't normally make threads like this, so I don't know if it belongs in this section or not. As my father says, "when trying to sell something, if you don't know where to go, go somewhere with the highest traffic!" Which would be General Chit-Chat.

So, does anyone know how to make the double-dotted "i"? (like in Naive)

START >> Programs >> Accessories >> System Tools >> Character Map

That little program shows you the ALT keycodes for a plethora of characters.

Oh yes, I spend my life sitting next to my computer going crazy with the character map. And if that didn't sound like enough sarcasm to last a lifetime, I'm being serious. I used to fool around with character map all the time.

Whoooooo character map! Keep in mind that there are keyboard shortcuts too. Use Alt + Some random # to make characters. The shortcuts should appear on the map. Just be sure your using the keypad and not the numbers above the letters on the keyboard.

Heh, I didn't know that either. Oh, this is gonna be fun. lol

You can also do it by going to Start> Run> 'Charmap'. It's rather fun to play around with it.

And, for a quick ï, just press [shift]+['],[i]. So, double quotation marks, and then push the i button.

Solution? Swap to Windows. That means you can do it like us.

AAAHHHHHHH! It no-no working. Hoiw do you get the characters onto the site? I tried to copy and paste, but it keeps on changing the symbols. My computer hates me.

Option key+anything works for me. Nice.

[EDIT] Some symols the computer can't read and show up as question marks, like the ones between 5, 2, and 3. Supposed to both be: Is less than or greater than

Alt would be against me at the moment. All Alt does is deselect the screen. Is that supposed to happen, or is it just another virus on my computer?

Alt+ a certain number on the keypad... all you do is hold Alt and type the number.

Alt+138: è

Alt+135: ç

Alt+130: é

Is that what you mean?
