What's your city/town/etc. like?
Since Lio brought back a good thread idea, why not I? Anyways, what is your city/town/etc. like and do you like living there?
For me, I like it here in St.Louis. Although I live in the city limits, I'm still not that far from some of our citys best attractions like Forest Park (city park), Delmar Loop (a section of Delmar St. that has many nice shops, cafes, and resturants), and The Hill. (Italian distirct of St.Louis) I kinda like living where I am now due to the fact I'm used to living in a big city. However, I kinda hate the fact that St.Louis is only rememberd for just the Arch and not many other things. Eh, it's still a nice place to live in, even if there is 375,000 people living here. ![]()

Well, Colorado Springs has beautiful mountains, a big forest, a nice Sky Sox stadium, and a really big theater. I'm around the outside of the city and thankfully pretty far away from the mall. There's a skate park close by and etc. It's a really nice place to live in.

Re: What's your city/town/etc. like?
I've lived in Hull nearly all my life and its a great paradise for any fishers. Completely modernized and refined to make a beautiful, immaculate community. Hull certainly is a pleasant place to live, and the seaport is what brings Hull to its magnificence. It ressembles Hull's iconic recognizable beauty and is what really makes Hull a unique symbol of England. Its already known as one of the UK's leading foreign trading ports.

Re: What's your city/town/etc. like?
Well, I'm not a huge fan of the location of Orange City, so I'll go with my hometown in Florida.
DeBary is beautiful. I think it's the best town to live in: so safe, scenery's lovely, and it's very well taken care of. I lived in DeBary for 7-8 years and loved every day of it. No crime happens there either. ![]()

Re: What's your city/town/etc. like?
I live in a town in the middle of Alabama called Florence. For us, we are sometimes called the food capital of the world, seeing how we have about a million restauraunts in my town. Some main sites of interest are the Rennisance Tower, Rennisance Hotel (Believe thats what it's called), a really huge golf course (forgot the name of it), the birth place of W. C. Handy, UNA (The college), The first Bookland and Books A Million in the world (the people who established it are from here) and of course, the restaurants.
Anyway, my town has maybe about 40,000 or so residence. We're not really big (as you can see), but it's an OK place to live, I guess.

Re: What's your city/town/etc. like?
I was born in Dayton, Tennessee. Now I’m living in Rossville, Georgia. I guess I like living in Georgia a lot more than living in Tennessee. Things are better here.
It’s pretty nice here. Crimes don’t happen that often. The weather is temperate and nice. There’s good transportation. There are a lot of shops I like here. Not many pranks happen. My neighborhood isn’t that loud. The air’s not that polluted. It’s really nice here, I suppose.

Re: What's your city/town/etc. like?
I live in a small village surrounded by a forest. It's really nice here and I really like to be here. Unfortunately I have to go away in the weeks to go to school but I still call this village my hometown.
We have two shops and that's pretty much it when it comes to stores. It's not too far to drive to the nearest town though so it's not really that much of a problem. |

Re: What's your city/town/etc. like?
Well, I lived in a small town called Mantua, which means "TreeFrog" in an Native American Language.
Anyway, my town is a not very well known place. Well, it's a beautiful place to live none the less. It has many trees and plants, mainly because a lot of people are gardeners who live in Mantua.Anyway, it's an old town as well, heck my house is actually about sixty years old.Mantua is in the SouthWestern part of New Jersey so it's not like get to see a lot. The people that live here are mainly good citizens, but all of us have bad neighbors. ![]() |

Re: What's your city/town/etc. like?
Well, San Antonio, Texas is know for the Alamo, the Riverwalk, I think that's it. It's hot and humid here which, sucks. Due to Hurricane Rita, they said it would rain today. Guess what, the sky is the clearest I have ever seen it. Ummmm, There is still a lot of un-occupied land. I mean a lot. Yep, San Antonio is growing though. Oh and, Spurs suck.

Re: What's your city/town/etc. like?
I was born in Chicago, Illinois and I'm sure of you guys in Stateside have heard of the place. I lived a ways off from downtown in a nice little neighborhood called Bridgeport. For the most part it was a pleasent but rather aging residential place(most of the homes originated right after the Great Chicago Fire), although we were fairly close to the erm, industrial areas. Anyways, I moved down to Tinley Park after about twelve years in the city. It's not a bad place, although my home is pretty far from anything. We're developed fairly well, but there's barely any commercial zones around here and that's why our school district is in a bit of crisis as of yet. We're pretty much overshadowed by our neighbor, Orland Park with its malls and such. But overall, a good place to live, I guess.

Re: What's your city/town/etc. like?
well, in my town/city (i have no idea what it is) it's pretty boring. in the summer, it's terribly hot, and in the winter, it doesn't get below 20 degrees at night. i wish i lived farther north, or in the mountains somewhere. there's not much to do, but downtown, there are some really good resteraunts, like this amzing pizza place run by Italians and an Irish pub owned by a guy from Ireland that he named after his wife. apart from food, i just go to the movies on weekends. the funnest thing in town only comes once a year, in May, and it's called Mayfaire. there's a 5k race and then a huge street dance, so that's pretty fun.

Re: What's your city/town/etc. like?
I have lived in Murrieta, California- MY ENIRE LIFE. It is sixty miles NE of San Diego and it is really nice. It has a lot of trees and flowers planted everywhere. They're really trying to make the city look nice. Every day you see a new housing track being built. The city is more residential then commercial. Everywhere you go there is houses. So many people are moving there everyday. In 2004 it had 74,000 people, and now it has over 85,000 people. It's said that it is the fastest growing city in all of California. The traffic is horrible, and the entire town is just houses, houses, houses everywhere you look, and a couple of fast food restaraunts. The weather there is okay. In the winter its below 75 Farenheit on average, but there is always ONE day in January where it gets below 32 DEGREES FARENHEIT! I don't get it. I the summer it can it up to 115 in may and june, but in august it starts to cool down. It rains all the time in the Spring and in fall theres bugs everywhere.
The worst thing I can think of is that there is like 6 or 7 petefiles in my neighbor hood .
