Copy and Paste Siggies.

Could someone please tell me what the point is of pasting a dislaimer in your signature stating "if your one of the 2% of the population who hasn't smoked pot" I know many people who have at least tried smoking pot, I myself have even done so. Does this make that 98% of people bad or something?

No, I don't think so, it's just to show that you haven't, or in your case have, tried smoking pot. Anyway, some people just like copying and pasting things in their sigs. There's one going round somewhere of copy and paste this in your sig if your one of the 98% who has, but I haven't seen it in a while.

It's just a simple survey. I don't think it is aimed to offend or
anything like that. At least, I don't think its offensive, and also
I think it's a good trend.

Theis whole 98% of the teenage population crap is inaccurate. Statistics show that only 25% or more actauly smokes weed, leaving 75% not smoking weed. The only reason people put this in their sig is to try and gain attention, (no offense) when in fact nobody cares about you smoking weed or not. I suggest not even putting it in your sig, as it's so godamn stupid.

Meh, it's just some annoying sig trend from some time ago. Luckily, I see it less and less, and I think it won't be around for too much longer. As Nox already said, the whole quote isn't even correct, which probably is one of the reasons it's getting less and less popular. And as Nox has already said as well, nobody really gives a damn on wether you have smoked pot. It doesn't make you any worse or better then anyone that has.

Ugh, the sig things suck. They are beginning to irratate me, and hey are REALLY inaccurate. Why do I even care if someone smokes Marijuana or not? And the same goes for the zu bf/gf sig trend things, with threatening. Like it would happen. I know an innaccurate one: 98% of ZU members use stupid signature trends.

even if 98% (this actually might be right in my school lol) of the teenage population smoked pot the other 2% probably have done something else. havent smoked pot but ive done some other stuff. so who cares.

Consider that most of those people aren't teenagers either.

As Nox said, the statistics are bull****, so there's no point in having them.

There is no point for the copy/paste sigs. I find them rather annoying myself. It was pointed out a long time ago that it's inaccurate. I think it boils down to originality being completely gone and new members copying it from other new members thinking it's going to make them cool. Which it doesn't.

So, yes, they are mildly annoying. It's nothing I'm going to lose sleep over though. I wish new members would put something unique into their sigs instead of conforming with 85% of every other n00b with the copy/paste stuff.

i dont see it that much anymore thankfully. although i regret to admit i had it in my sig for about a week, when i realized it was the stupidest thing to put there

It's the most annoying sig trend since "ZU Friends Lists."

Whether it's causing harm or not isn't the question. It just annoys me, and for that, it must be done away with!

It is just plain idiocy. Whoever made that statistic up needs to be slapped.

Just ignore it. I haveta agree with Capn, the ZU Friends thing is just plain annoying.

Well, it seems to me that most everyone thinks that it is a trend, correct?
It seems it is a trend to be extremely mean spirited lately as well, correct?
I don't really see much more of a conversation going on about this subject.
