21 Year Old Girl - Raped and Killed

She had a friendster account, on which her last log in was last Tuesday. She was killed on August 4 after being raped, when found, her body was decapitated.

This is just horrible. What the hell is wrong with people these days!? This just makes me so sad to hear, that someone very young with a lot to live for has their life stolen away from them by some pathetic loser. This guy better be caught, if there's criminals that deserve death, it's people like that.

Wow, this is just wow. Words cannot describe what I'm thinking right now. Yet another tragic event in the world, people these days just don't care anymore. I'd hate to say it, but hey, that's life.

Eijiro, everything is wrong with people these days. This are actually mild compared to some things that have been happening recently. Of course, those aren't often talked about.

Of course, it's really sad. Rape is a disturbing thing.

It is extremly horrible, but death isn't truly a punishment for the guilty person, only their families. A true punishment would be to spend the rest of his life with no freedom.

And also cut all his arms and legs off. Freaking rapists. I can't stand them. I don't want to talk about it.

It really is horrible. The sad thing is people really don't think about these things. I had to do an English paper about kids in jail and why they do these horrible crimes. Most of them want to be like the kids before them and have a few days of glory with their name all over the news. What a stupid reason. Destroy the victim's life and their families for a few days of glory.

I've been dying to tell you about the jury duty I had to do for the last two weeks. I couldn't talk about it until it was over. It was a murder trial. Some idiot got in a fight at a party and lost. He went back to his mother's house and took her shotgun. He went back to the house where the victim was sleeping, at 6AM, climbed halfway through the open window and shot five rounds, hitting him four times. The victim was 26 years old.

I had to look at the murderer in the courtroom everyday for two weeks. He looked like an average guy. He wore a suit and didn't look creepy. The sad thing was, I had to look at the victim's family everyday too. I felt so sorry for them. I could see the murderer's family too. I could kind of tell his mother knew he did it. His family also hid the shotgun and it was never found. We found him guilty on the charge of Murder in the First Degree Premeditated and guilty on Posession of a Firearm. The trial ended Friday.

I know this doesn't really belong in this thread, but it does follow the subject a little. I have been wanting to tell you about this trial. If you PM me and I get enough requests, I will go into a little more detail. I just want to make sure people want to hear about it first.

By all means I am not discrediting Eijiro or this girl or her family. I'm just trying to point out how stupid some people are.

well, that sucks, to be dead and all. Sure, we all deserve death, but her time was too early, I'm sure she'll be back in some way, shape or form.

Congratulations and thank you, Princess_Zelda, for doing jury duty. I have heard recently the sort of statistics about how many people actually show up for jury duty, and it is a good thing to know that at least in some parts of the country the judicial system isn't in ruins. Also, it seems (from what little information you gave) that you made the right decision. Good job!

Well I've been reading through the posts here, and I suppose I'll have to comment - even though I'm speechless. I can't stop thinking about how terrible things happen to people, it would just be a random day, your going out and bam! Your life ends, your family breaks down - you experience the most terrible thing ever. I imagine that would be what happens, its just not right, its totally wrong. And theres something wrong with the killer, what was he thinking? Does he have brain-damage or something? He must do to do such thing! I'm disgusted! Totaly and utterly didgusted! And this news is coming every day, while we forget about it in time, it affects the familys always.

The whole comunnity is to blame, people like you are me are somewhat guilty on these things too. Not in the far extent of course as these people who commit crimes like this. But to some extent that you could say that everyone is guilty.
I'm one of those people that goes with the flow of current life because there are little any other good options. People these days want to give a chance to everybody even though they know their chances aren't all that high and it could go wrong or would be not as good as possibly hoped.
Sympathy/empathy is to blame, the sympathy of human of now when whe have evolved rational thinking but only to our owns extent and judge those by others. People who are clearly no use or will do any good to the humanity are still given a chance to live and change. While in nature, one is not given such chances. We somewhat have abolished such primitive ways of selection for the 'better' of our race and the race in nature to survive.
I think people like these or in the same line of having only a negative influence all over the world. Just are to be killed straight away and that's that. Things like punishement is not the way to rid the world of these people. They will not learn and just will keep coming, they all just will die sooner or later, being punished in between is just for you own good of thinking that you have done something righteous, but it ain't, you just then are no better than that person.
People would have more benefit of just ridding the world of these people.

Really I don't care if think I'm some kind of monster too now, I will die anyways sooner or later. And then my existence will just be forgotten trough time just like anyones else's. And then it all wouldn't have mattered anyways what you would have thought about me or I about the world. So I just keep on going with the flow 'till I die, because there is nothing more to do than just that.

Indeed, and I think that's the saddest part. I have a somewhat odd connection with the girl in question, as she was a friend of one my friends... He told me she was a very quiet girl, who didn't have too many friends and didn't go out too much, and was always in her room studying.. as this year was her final year to get her degree. This kind of person wasn't doing anything wrong in life, she was keeping to herself and going about her way, and then some sick bastard decides to play with her life and destroy it.

The problem is, in Inonesia he will be likely to only receive a 20 year sentence (At very worst, mind you), if he is caught at all. That's just disgusting, in my opinion people like this don't deserve to live. To "punish" them in jail is just giving them more time in life... their lives should be ended in just as cruel a way as their victims.

Why? Because that would make you feel better? I think it is better to do it quick and clean and get it over with. There is no practical use in torturing people, it only makes you as bad as them.

And trust me, it doesn't make you feel all that better after he's tortured and dead, because that won't make her come back and your pain go away. Just try to remember her and continue with your life without letting this hold you back. There is no use in that, and she has nu use to that either.

It happens all the time and so many times that the shock factor isn't too high anymore. The incident is really sad, but what's the point of this thread? I mean, what's so special about this case that we need to specifically see it and read about it? Because there are hundreds and thousands of cases like this and we don't really pay much attention to them (most people don't), so what makes this one so special?

unfortunately, things like this happen all the time across the world... ranting about one death won't really change much of anything.
