I've been seeing a lot of stupid threads lately, and I'm getting mad. I'm not mad about the stupid threads themselves. Those are going to happen once in a while. It's the reactions to these threads that are pissing me off. Every thread that doesn't deserve existence instantly gets fifty replies about how stupid the user is, how this thread is spam, and then, soon enough, the thread that lacked a point in the beginning becomes a worthless discussion. A bad post is a bad post. You're not helping the situation by adding posts to a worthless thread, because all posts in a worthless thread are bad. Anyone who posts in a thread that has no chance of remaining unlocked has spammed. And before you go saying "TAHT MENAS UR A SPAMR 2", don't. Everyone knows I'm a spammer, and a rule-bender. That's common knowledge.

All you mod-wannabes out there should just shut up, stop posting in worthless threads announcing that "a mod needs to lock this", and let the mods do their jobs on their own. That's why they're mods. If you really want to help the mods do their jobs, then use the red and white triangular "Report Bad Post" button located in the bottom-left of every post.

And to the admins: If you want more people to report instead of posting, then make the report bad post button actually say that it reports bad posts, instead of using the little sign picture.

If you think this thread deserves to be locked, so be it. But don't post about it. Use the button, and type out why you think the post is bad. It will really help.

That's cause people use those to get their post count jacked up. I had to make a mad dash to report all of those threads.

Like any forum, there are some stupid people and some smart people here. I just try to ignore the morons because there are enough of those in the real world.

Also, I'm not really that mad, since I don't really care about ZU anyway. I would just like to see less stupid and more help for the mods around here.

Another way to help is to link to bad threads in the #zelda chatroom. There are almost always mods online there, and they will probably lock the thread if you show it to them.

Perfect example of 'tard topic makers and rent-a-mods. Rather than contacting a mod they just say the guy shouldn't do it, and they'll wait for the mod to lock it. They think it's cute or something....

How about allowing people to discuss whatever they want and not worry about it? It doesn't hurt you when there are threads you are not interested in.

Anyway, we can't really do anything about it but hope these people read the topic and understand it's retarded to rent-a-mod.

Maybe we could all vote for public beatings of them?

And zero, it's not that the threads are uninteresting. The threads are topics of spam. They are needless and consist of "I HAVE PINK SOCKS!" That is not a well developed thread and can not be discussed.

No, because I trashed the thread. Really now, people, rent-a-modding is just as bad as the actual spam. Please stop it, it doesn't help the moderators at all. Instead you just give more fuel to the spammer's fire.

I'd like to point out that the mods are capable of giving out warnings for rent-a-modding, so it really is a good idea to stay away from doing it. Use the report a post button, it's there for a reason and if you report instead of spamming, you'll actually do some helping.

I'd say the whole world is stupid. The level of retardedness on these forums just rarely exceeds that of my school (eg a few minutes ago =p). And I don't think many schools, or other places with people, are much different.

Frankly, the whole rent-a-modding thing, I think it's just a fase all newbs go through. They more or less know the rules, and feel the need to show off that knowledge. What's a better way then saying ho much this or that thread sucks? Well, not posting in said threads, but it takes some time to find out that's the best. Or at least, that's how it was with me.

Actually, I think he just wants to spam. He doesn't need replies to his 'i waer pants!!!' thread to start a 'tehg mods suck!!! im muhc betre lol!!' thread. Though it probably also varies between the individual spammers.
