I'm not sure if this should be here or in Entertainment... Anyways...
Ok, I need help with something. I have A Windows Media Clip (.avi) and I wanted to know if there's anyway I can seperate the audio from the video. I just want the song in the clip. Is there anyway to do this? Or do I need a seperate program, or what? Anyone that knows what to do, please help. -Necro-

Re: Audio Ripper?
Hmm...this doesn't seem precisely illegal (probably just YOUR personal audio clip from a video, right? *cough*). Well then...I'm gonna answer your question and be done with it.
All you should have to do is get a sound analysis program (like CakeWalk, Sound Forge, whatever) that will open the *.avi file. Actually, I think you can even get the sound via Windows Movie Maker. The old-fashioned way would be to play it from your speakers and record it onto, say, a cassette-recorder, then play it back into your computer as a recorded sound-file. Anyway, that's about it..if someone else has info on this, they'll PM you, I'm sure, but I don't feel this should be kept open "in case it becomes a discussion about possibly illegal activities" heh.
