Your Fantasy World

For the past few days, I've been playing Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana. I've been absolutely obsessed with it. See, I've always loved RPG's because they have been a sort of escape for me from this place that we all live in today. It's an escape into something exciting and adventurous with anything being possible. Atelier Iris is such a colorful game and such a bright little RPG, I've just been engrossed in it. Then I suddenly knew why. I want to live there.

Don't think I'm crazy. I know it's just a game and not possible. I just love to think of what I could do and how much fun it would be. If I lived in that game, I would be an alchemist galgazit and have adventures all of the time. In my down time, I would be hanging out at the base house with all of my good friends. It would be an entire life of adventure and fun.

There's so many other games and stuff that I would like to live in too though, but there's too many to even get started on. ^^

Anyway, what would be your ideal fantasy world? It doesn't have to be a game. It can be from a movie, book, historic period, or whatever you want! Use your imagination! What would your job be or would you even have one? What would you do all day? What kind of adventures would you have?

You may not be able to actually live out your life in your fantasy world but you sort of can through telling us about your world. It sounds stupid but I think it's true.

The Guildwars world is really awsome, I think it'd be fun. I doubt any of you have even heard of Valikorlia, but it's got a great world.

I tend to get that way when I'm reading an awesome book for hours at a time. You see, I like to take my time reading--make the words as thick and meaningful to myself as possible. That's why I take so long to read a book. I LIVE in the book and imagine the different aspects of it which the author leaves unsaid and even unthought.

And your idea is far from stupid--it's one of the utmost demonstrations of imagination. :0)

I would create my own world to live in (the best I could describe it would be a lot like our world today, with the futuristic world of Dragonball Z). There'd be talented people such as those who could fight well in combat, or use magical skills, of whatever. I would just enjoy myself by beating everyone to be the strongest person. I like the whole idea of being the best in the world, and doing it by means of strength and power. There'd be special things I could find to make myself stronger, like a legendary sword kind of thing (that's too original, but you all get the point, I'm sure). Hmmm... so basically, my fantasy world would be a video game world.

The perfect fantasy world for me would be the Star Wars Universe.

My fantasy world is from this R.P.G I made up a long time ago. The worlds name is Calana and it is split into 6 lands, each representing a period of time in Earths history. The 1st land is Ancinet Land, which is home of many anceint civilizations. The 2nd land is Medieval Land, which is the time of the Medieval and Dark Ages. The 3rd land is Middle Land, which is the time of time of the begingin of the Industrail Revolution and the spread of imperalism. The 4th land is Modern Land, which is the time of the 20th century inot the early 21st ecntury. The 5th land is Future Land, which is the peak of civilization and of technology. The fianl land is Wild Land, where there is really is no time; nature runs wild and rampat.

Sounds pretty cool, does'nt it?

Well I have actually made my own fantasy world, but I have wrote so much about it, it's pathetic.

mine is a mix between Hyrule, Harry Potter(magical world), LOTR, and a couple anime places
basically there must be dragons, elves, fairies, ninjas, demons, animagus ect. ...Hyrule stands out the most in my fantasy world

My world is kinda a mix of LotR, Star Wars, LoZ, and Tales of Symphonia, with a mix of my own ideas. I have a timeline of events, I have a list of races and interbreed races, I have a list of mana and their symbols, I have a list of the Gods/Godesses and what the do and rule over, I have a list of jobs, I have a list of leaders and what they rule, I have a list of governments, and etc.....

It takes place on a world called Karakan. Karakan was the first world that Karakanok the God of Creation created. He created many worlds with many different races that are outside of Karakan, but all he did was throw mana into infinity and all the mana collided. It made stars, planet, moons, and living species, but most of these are not recorded (or known) by the Deitys.

Hyrule, OoT time period, only with a larger landscape and more detailed housing.

I was about ten years old when I played OoT. I had finally gotten the N64 and OoT came with it. I started playing it and I was uber obsessed. It was just so awesome, I had always been interested in the medievil time period and magic and such, and that game let me sort of live through it.

So if I got to live in a fantasy world, I'd live in Hyrule. The medievil ages had so much more oppurtunities to do meaningful fun things than today has to offer.

I'd say living in a Final Fantasy game would be awesome...

... But that's just me.

I think my personally best fantasy world would be the one I created ... Wardune, from my story Legacy of The Shadow Lord. It has all the traditional traits ... good versus evil, all the classic races that I would love to meet, and plenty of places to train even harder with my sword skills (yes, thats right, I swordfight. Call me a nerd all you want, I hope it gives you pleasure.)

And I've always sort of wanted to get out of this modern world where everyone strives to be better than the other by outbuying, and where celebreties and big shots think that they're better than all the poor whelps who live in any other state besides Florida and California. I've wanted to go into lands where guns and feelings of superiority are nonexistent, and where your own talents are all that keep you alive day by day. I realize that sounds a bit harsh, but its better than sitting around your house all day and watching tv with corn puffs.

Or maybe it isnt to others ... oh well, its my fantasy.

My world is kinda set in a fantasy world, at the beginning, but technology actually improoves over the years. There is a lot of fantasy worlds that don't use this technique of improovement, like Star Wars, I love the Star Wars Universe but I have never seen it in it's primative times. And look at KOTOR, that's supposed to take place 4000 years before the movies, but all the technology is the same.

HEY! I live in Florida. And im not rich, matter of fact, im low-middle class actually. (there are more old retired people here than in california anyway)

But thats not the point. I also agree with you Andrew, I want to leave this place soooooo bad. I just wish there was another planet were you just....could...(this may sound odd).....could have a life....and live it.

Sounds bland, but thats really all i want. Just to live my life. No school, (to an extent) You just make a living and live for life, not for life's unreal matirialistic things. I also wish the 'fantasy world' was more of a place were people respected you on who you ARE not what you DID.

Think about it. Its eaiser to compliment someone on something they DID. like, "Oh, you DID a great job on that drawing" or "you were awesome at that soccer match" ANyway, you get the point. Why cant people say more things like, "hey, you are a nice person" I dont mean to get all sentimantal, but its what i think.

And i wouldnt mind living in a foresty, midevil setting for my actual "fantasy world?" But bah. Right now, this is the only life i got, so im gonna do my best to live out loud anyway. Even if it can suck sometimes.

Ever Sense i played Ocarina of Time ive wonderd it must be fun to live in that type of World and when i started playing i plez dont call me crazy had Dreams of Living in that world

My world is my own. I don't want to live in someone else's world, I want to live in my own.

I reside in the planets of my aspiring rpg, Fata Morgana. Sylverilae and Xephenia are very cool places to live. Who wouldn't want to live with bespectacled catgirls and sarcastic vixen slayers? Or with talking vodoo dolls and Pickles the Pessimistic Panda? Now, if you don't mind, I am taking a zeppelin to Beletrix, the Aurora Nation, and then to Taralon, the Sylvan Paradise.

Hmm. I often have different ideas about this sort of thing. I think I'd like to live in a place like Koholint of Link's Awakening. A peaceful community of genuinely friendly and thoughtful people. Beautiful, majestic environments. Where you could be content with who you are, I guess.

I don't know about this world. Often when I'm in the school cafeteria at lunch, I look around and just long to be in a different sort of place. Where people are more thoughtful and less shallow.

I don't know, this life is confusing but it's the one I have.
