If Zelda Universe was real...

You know BGS, your idea has made me think of something bigger - and really freaky. The whole internet, real. You could literally 'Surf the net' on electrical waves, riding up a giant cobweb with thousands of small web rooms. ZeldaUniverse would be a giant palace, quite like a university. People walking about chatting in the gardens, and inside - was a great hall (General Zelda) thousands of people all having conversations. People holding up sighns saying a topic to talk about, with people crowding around the sighns. New members dawdling around looking lost, staring at maps confused and getting told off by scary people in long black cloaks. (Mods/Smods) There would be winding stairs leading into other chambers; you enter - only to find thousands more people. People would wear badges saying: Faroe/Nayru/Din or Mod/Smod/ Administraters. Some rooms are out of bounds. Outside theres the arens, the Battle Arena and RolePlaying central. With a massive crowd circling around boasting a breathtaking stadium. Its Zelda paradise, you can play any Zelda game you want. Or hop off to General Gaming to play others. Flying bats drop of PMs to certain members. Its quite like HogWarts.

At night, the palace is empty and quiet. The majority of people have surfed back home, into there computer - than sucking themselves out of the giant community known as the Internet. Into the real world. All that would be true, if the Internet was real.

I'd like to meet all the Mods/Smods/Administraters because I respect and trust them. As long as they don't act like an evil warlord because of there powers.

If ZU was real... I'd probably just stop by every once and awhile when I wasn't working or out with my close friends. I could possibly become good friends with a few people, but I'm really not sure who exactly. I'd have to get to know everyone better, of course.

I'd probably go around in every section, just to see what's going on. I'd most likely spend most of my time in general chit-chat and be the social butterfly that I am (or not = /), mingle with the art nerds in the artwork section, and game on with gamers in general gaming.

Yep, just pop my head in every now and then, cos that's what I do.

Anyway. I would meet Gaurdain Of Ice and WhiteWingedDarkness and get them together and see what happoned. Than I would wonder how PMs worked lol.

Well the way I thought of it is ZU would have rooms for you to sleep in (that would be your User CP). And as for the PMs...hmmm I dunno...everyone will be given a temporary DS to communicate with? Either that or send written letters via air-tubes. Just use your imagination ^_^

Perhaps each member would receive a ZU Cell phone. It would include the person's name (example: Chozen) and selected design on it (siggy). When you want to PM or in this case Text Message a member you simply look up their name in the cell phone database (which will contain every member.) Of course, if you rather call them that is possible as well.

It would be awseome to have a town called Zu Villa lol er something , and everyone was walking around talking to others and conversing in rooms (threads) and when u got to the building it would say stuff like *General Chit Chat* and then u walk in and there rare like 100 differnt doors to differnert roooms (threads) , yah a town would be awesome!!!

Imwill devote my life to creating this town and/or very big buiolding that will be Zekldauniverse and wel will all live together in peace and harmony. Exept in the Ba.

Wow, if ZU were real, I think I'd never come out of the RPG . . . not that I'm in it yet . I kinda like the DS communicating idea. Not ONLY can you send drawings and messaging and stuff, you can play other games (say, when are they gonna make a Zelda for DS)

That is insane i would be playing zelda and arguing with every one in the fourms

Hmm, if ZU were a real place, I'd definetly head on over to the Art and Writing thread, where I'd see Southern Belle handing our brownies whilst she recites her poems to a mass audience. Mrs Ganondorf will be in a quiet corner somewhere discussing Celtic myths of some kind with Selah before losing all track of time, and suddenly realising it's 4 am and everybody has gone to bed

EA would probably be giving everybody a one man show of Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith in some make shift theater, whilst Big Bro Davida hosts his own talk show, and sorts out everybodys problems. :: Giggles:: BBD, you should wear huge red glasses like Sally Jesse Rapheal!

Don't know why, but I have an image of the Din clan being like a giant dancefloor, where, of course, I'd spend most of my time. Imagine my dancing as something between a bad imitation of Uma Thurman from Pulp Fiction, and an elderly Ziggy Stardust. After dancing with most of the dinnies, for some reason they looked quite scared, I'd go find Lioness, and we'd stake vampires till the sun rose!

Now, as for people I'd like to chat to in this mythical place, I suppose there are a few, though some of them may not even know who I am.

Big Bro Davida- Didn't actually like him when I first joined, thought he was rather stuck up. However I know see why he is so popular on here, and think he seems like the sweetest guy.

DarkTachyon- Have spoken to him in the chat a few times, and he seems pretty cool. Oh and anybody who has seen Velvet Goldmine is fine by me

Anime_Queen- A little birdie told me that you sing alot, and I would love to know if it's possible to sing more than myself :p

Shetani- We'd have to chat about Buffy, though she'd probably show me up as I know nothing compared to her. Also, she seems pretty funky, and I'd love to see her face when I turn up with Captain Cardboard as my date!

Heh, I've had this idea too. In fact, it's part of some crazy story I'm thinking of and might actually start on some time in the future. I see it as a big hall, leading to four wide corridors (Zelda, Community, Clan and RPG Forums), which would lead to other halls (General Zelda, GCC, Clan HQ, etc.). From those huge halls, you'd get to smaller rooms, which'd be the threads. Also, there'd be the personal quarters where the ZU'ers live, which others could see, and which the users could enter to change settings.

Anyway, I'd be in my room most of the day, and go to the Nayru clan every now and then. I'm kinda shy, so I'd definately not socialize much, especially at first. By the time I'd get used to the situation, I would probably be found in the GG, testing my SSBM skills against people that could actually provide challenge. Also, I'd play FS in Gameboy Zelda, and still be visiting the Nayru clan a lot.

As for people I'd like to meet:

Miniblin, Gezmok, Zoran Hero, Andúrhil and Daiya, for their participation in Nayru's Interactive Story.

BGS: Coolest mod. 'Nuff said. Can be very funny at times.

GC: Runner-up coolest mod. See above.

Sear: Another really cool staff member. His quote about fashion was one of the best quotes ever.

I probably haven't mentioned all, but meh.

Cool thread BGS! Hmmm....I'd probably do the same thing I do on here, hang out in the Art and Writing hall a lot. I'd definately want to meet some of my fellow ZU poets. And I'd also want to meet Mr. Spork, cause he seems really funny. I'd also probably spend a little bit of time hanging out in the game section (playing games is different from talking about them) and chat with people in the general section. Hmm...one thing I just thought of though, I know a lot of people I'm friends with on here are older than me, I wonder if that would matter? Lol. How would those colledge kids I chat with here reeact to a 13-year-old walking up and trying to start a conversation with them?

I thought about this too. It seems that on the internet, people don't judge you on what you look like, what's your age, sex, or nationality (unless you reveal this info). They judge you on your opinions. It feels free doesn't it? But if this "Real ZU" were to happen...would that be taken away? Would someone instantly see you (without knowing you are southern belle) and just think "Oh just another little teen". It hurts I know, I've been there. Everyone has at one time or another in their life.

As for how older fans will react, it all depends on their own personalities. If you came up to me and said something like "You're BGS, aren't you? Hey it's me southern belle!" then boom I'd instantly know who you are. I'd read your poems, chat with you and everything. It's just how different people judge on others.

Selah: Selah's Zelda poetry and stories is really amazing, I'm not usually one for Zelda related fiction but it's just too good to pass up.

You have a point there. Some people may look stupid, but be really nice and intelligent and stuff. Now, if this was virtual reality, there wouldn't be such a problem. If you didn't want to show your face, you could activate some kinda stealth mode that makes you look like something else. Like, just a shadow. Or something.

Now I'm sure this has already been said, but what if, in the BA, one could actually BE their character... now that would be alot of fun...

Or we could think a little more realisticly and could make this into a Zelda Convention as well. Meaning, people can dress up as Zelda characters (Imagines an Army of Links....that can't be good) and wear masks if they are really shy or something. However, I think it's best if you let your face be shown or people would just judge on your other physical attributes such as your height, body build, and sound of your voice (deep or high) to notice if you are older or not. If you act the same way in here than you do in reality, there shouldn't be a problem (if you are more shy...that's ok. But if you are a person that bounces off the walls/gets too excited I might stay a little bit away from you until you calm down)

I would make an arcade and get all of the Zelda Games and I would not go home. Why go home in fact we could like get dorms for each clan and have tham live there and use money to pat for food and we culd live at ZU!

If Zelda Universe was real, than that means we would actually talk face to face instead of by posts and such. We would have to think of some way of keeping it forum style, otherwise we wouldn't pay as much attention to the topics. But, Zelda Universe isn't just forums! Forums could be just like they are now. We could interact with an art gallery, like a museum, where everyone just goes around looking at fan art. There would always be Zelda music from the mp3's section playing. The fanfic would be like a real library, and the library would also have all the Zelda info you need.

Here's another idea. The real Zelda Universe could dedicate sections to different Zelda games, and each section would have rooms that look and sound like the places in that particular game! *gets hammer and nails* I should be done with this in a few decades...
